There are a lot of daddy long leg spiders down there too :/ I heard peppermint oil and water spray works good?

Anyways...
He has a TV, a small coffee table, and the mini fridge already.

I was thinking about a recliner, a sound bar for his tv and covering the walls some how with fabric?

Any ideas!?? Links, anything would be awesome!!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / wedding anniversary gift for sister--Help! on: March 22, 2013 03:03:40 PM
So my sister is coming up on her one year wedding anniversary pretty soon...
At her wedding last year i was able to snag these two paper signs they had up at the hotel where they were married.
They are just regular paper and has both of their names on it. Its 17" wide and 11" tall.

She doesn't know I got them from the hotel--and I've been meaning to make something with them, but I have no idea what!!
Thinking of framing it, but wanting something more? Didn't want to make it too girly, so her husband would like it Smiley

ANY ideas would be great!! Thanks guys!

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / New card table top help! on: January 06, 2013 11:49:35 AM
So I have an old beat up card table in my craft room that I want to put a new cover on. It is just a cheap one and I'm unable to get the top off- it doesn't have normal screws in it...Sad

I was wondering about just decoupageing the top instead? It's vinyl on top with some small tears and holes. Would this work? Any other ideas??

only she doesn't want fondant frosting...

which is good because i've worked with fondant ONCE, and i'm not very good at it...

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / decorating ideas for apartment with drop ceilings! on: June 17, 2011 03:05:02 PM
So I really want to decorate my apartment a bit more. I was thinking about hanging stuff from the ceiling because its a drop style, and i can easily push up the tiles to hang stuff from them.  I have no idea what though! I was thinking some kind of lantern type things?  I made some fabric garland that you can see, but they just hang on the walls. I was thinking of making longer ones and draping them across the room a bunch of different ways?

I'm not sure, and i'm looking for more ideas!

6  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / thrown pottery results! on: November 26, 2010 03:12:28 PM
I recently just took a ceramics class at the local community college-- I LOVED it! It was so much fun! I can't wait to take it in spring again!

I havn't had a chance to get good pictures of everything because its winter here which means hardly no sun, plus i'm usually at work those hours there is light! Eek!

I have hardly any room in my apartment for all of these!! So i'm thinking of giving them out for xmas!!!

I was thinking of filling them with candy or something? Any ideas??
7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / how long to bake these tiny creations?!? Help plz! on: November 20, 2010 08:00:07 PM
this is my first time making anything out of clay. These are made of out sculpey...

The biggest one is just about a 1/4" and the litlest one is a little thicker than the dime shown.

I want to bake them so they are hard, but i'm scared!! I'm not sure how long to cook them or what temp!

How do i know if they are done?
Can i paint on them once they are baked--or do i do that before??

Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
