I have come across a woman selling her Ashford Traditional wheel for $225 with a sliding hook flyer and bobbin or $200 with the standard flyer or $250 with both. She would also be including the 4 bobbins and lazy kate and throwing in some practice wool. From looking at wheel prices it seems to be a good deal, but I would love a second opinion, just cause...well, just cause. This would also be my first wheel if that makes any difference.

I can't claim that I completely made all of the costumes. It was a group effort on most of them. I did however make Christmas Past's skirt, patterned Belinda's (the little girl) dress, patterned and constructed both Tiny Tim's vests and pants (only have the picture of one  ).

I've just about finished with this gift for my friend. It's made from one of her old pointe shoes and painted with acrylics and fabric paint. The lettering is a pale pink. All it's missing is a bit more stuffing. 





Not visible in the picture is the fact that the stitches around the edge show.   Any ideas on how to cover it up? Advise for the next one I make? Thoughts on the pin cushion?

Just wondering if anyone has ever used this pattern. It's from the late 50's so I just thought I'd give it a shot and see if anyone has thoughs, comments or suggestions for it. Thanks!

So, I have two uniforms both long tunics with spandex pants (death to the pants) and they are just kinda sitting around in the laundry basket getting washed over and over again. One of them has a velvet pannel and the other is some kind of streatchy material with glitter all over it. Any ideas would be nice. And if our camera ever decides that it wants to live I'll try to post pics. Thanks!
