Made into this using my mom's fabric leftovers and every part of the old tote bag excluding the rope things. (The canvas stripey thing was used as interfacing!)




Accidentally burnt the side while ironing...

[edit] Just got home from prom 2 hours ago. MAN, IT WAS AWESOME DANCING IN THIS DRESS! I'M DEFINATELY GOING TO MAKE MY OWN DRESS FOR SENIOR BALL (I'M LEARNING HOW TO SEW THIS SUMMER). I think I'm gonna make a dress just labout 6in. longer --- close to make ankles. I ... don't know how I'd do in a gown. D:

I followed peachcake's tutorial for her octopus. (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=142201.0)
Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to attach the tentacles and it wasn't her fault. SEWING KNITTED ITEMS is not my forte. When I came up with a way to sew the stuff, I WAS TOO LAZY TO STICK THEM ALL ON! Oh well. I'm left with 8 tentacles that look like tampons. (Great prank for my boy friends, perhaps?)

This is my first time doing Icords and only second time using dpns. I was wondering how would the switch be made from Icords to working in the round? I can't seem to get it right! It seems all backwards and I'm probably making mountains out of anthills here. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

What is a NarvLarv? Well, it is a larva cartoon of our AP US History teacher, Mrs. Narveson. A former student of hers always comes and draws some cartoon of it on the board before class begins. My friend laughs so hard every time she sees one of those. It just so happens that I got the same friend for Secret Band Geek (like Secret Santa Claus). Among the things she asked for was something handmade. So I made her a NarvLarv keychain out of felt in addition to a book I got her and she loved it. (BTW, the things on the body are its legs/arms, NOT nipples.)

Well, this first bag came out HORRIBLE. I had to rip about 3 times 'cause I messed up so bad. If you look really really REALLY hard at the bag, you'll see in the middle there is a seam line. I had designed my bag so the seam line would be in the middle so its not a mistake. And it originally was supposed to be a SLING. I screwed up on the strap so I just chopped it off and it's now just right for a shoulder bag.

I showed my younger sister and she claimed it resembled a mailbag. So here it is on my wall holding all my precious letters and cards I've received from friends.




Sadly, I won't ever get to use the pen/lipbalm pocket I sewed in.

This is Max. He's a lot like me.



1. We are skinny.
2. We have long arms.
3. We're blind. IN fact, besides glasses, Max still needs eyes.
4. We are nowhere near perfect. Max had decreases going the wrong way and I think HIS EARS ARE CROOKED! ;____;
5. We have a tiny scar on the top of our heads. Max has a hot glue one. Aaron said I had a scar.
6. We both need a haircut so bad.
7. We have a big head, figuratively and literally speaking.
8. Despite having two ears, we are deaf.
9. We can't sit still for one minute. Max often falls on his side.
10. We are afraid of heights. That's the only reason I don't have Max hanging off the tip of the door on his tail.
11. We fear piercings and tattoos on our body. That's why I didn't embroider "Max" on him.
12. We have minor scoliosis. Its not serious, but it sure looks ugly on Max.
13. We LOVE Law & Order SVU and CSI: Las Vegas. Max watched it last night.
14. Our two best friends at home are Bongo & Bamboo. (Sharon, YOU MUST HAVE REMEMBERED BONGO! <3)
15. We lack muscles and body fat.

Like, Mr. Danglys, Max was supposed to be a (2month belated) birthday present but since he has so many defects, I would like to create a better toy for my senior friend. Max was supposed to be my substitute at Berkeley for my friend so she won't kidnap me from my classes.

I learned many things that I am willing to tell you about: how a mattress stitch really works, that you should knit on small needles so the stuffing wouldn't so, and that there are two different directional decreases. OF COURSE, I didn't realized any of this until more than halfway.
