1  A jazzy pirate bookmark?! Yes please! in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by marelly on: April 26, 2006 08:18:31 PM
Sooo as a new addition to the craftster community I figured I had better start pulling my weight instead of just leeching up all the delicious crafty inspiration. Which brings me to..

*pause for whoops and chanting*

I made this for a bookmark swap on swap-bot.com. It looks about 57% better in person.  Its made of heavy card, and all that sketchy artwork is done by yours truly, so forgive my clumsy Viking fists Tongue I swear I deserve some sort of prize for painting the tiny little lines on his teeth. The words say "Here marks ye spot!" in case you can't read it. Which is likely. The skull and the compass rose are both adorned with gold leaf paint and a wee clear gem. The bottom has a thin red braid with a dubloon-style trinket on the end. I was so tempted to keep it but I had to spread the love. What do y'all think?
