1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Painted Ties! on: January 22, 2009 07:24:52 PM
I gave a friend of mine a painted tie and he couldn't believe that it had cost me $1/that it was altered.
So we went thrift store shopping and he picked out two other ties that he wanted to try his hand at.
The blowfish is his... which he didn't like too much... so I painted the other for him.

Here is a close up.

His knee is messed up but I can't wait to make more.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / 2 embellished shirts and one a-line skirt on: May 30, 2006 02:42:55 PM
This was for my first ever swap package, angelling for the February unconditional swap!

I used to star of life because she is a health care worker.  This was my first stencil ever!

And on the next one I put I <3 Irony because she said she loved sarcasm but she had already recieved the shirt on her wists in a different swap.  The shirt is like military green.

And last but not least I made her an appliqued A-Line skirt from some fabric I had laying around that I love but didn't know what to do with.  The zipper is inside out but it fits and thats all that matters, right?

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Tarot Card Light Switch Cover on: April 20, 2006 08:01:22 PM
This is one of those silly beginners projects but I was bored and didn't have much at my disposal - plus I pretty much think this is the sweetest light switch cover EVER.  I need to get my spirituality all up in my bathroom.  Sorry for the not so great picture... I'll replace it when I get some natural lighting and my camera functioning normally again. Smiley

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My new clutch! on: April 18, 2006 03:45:01 PM
I posted this in the bag contest so I hope it's ok that I post it here for feedback as well.
This is the first bag I have made for myself and I love love love it!!!!

It is made with vintage paisley fabric and a jersey shirt that didn't look good on me but felt so soft.

What do you think?
