31  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Tarot ATC SWAP Round 2:Emperor/Hierophant/Lovers SignUps: 11/22-12/6 Send: 12/20 on: November 30, 2006 08:03:56 AM
I want to make copies but it takes time to make these so I don't know if it's going to happen. I may just take the photo and print it out onto card stock. Won't be quite the same but hey, that's cool.

I would be so upset if someone stole my deck! Which deck was it?

This is so funny: I have been plotting a swap very similar to this idea (ask amaryllisroze if you don't believe me!) It's really fun to see what different people come up with using the same elements. You both did wonderful cards. I love seeing your unique style in your sets.

Its true! Racky is no liar.  Grin
That's awesome! I would totally love to do a swap of this kind! (I just hope it's not in February 'cause I'm going to China for a few weeks and probably won't get much crafting/art done!)

You know what those quantum physicists say - once you put the idea out there, it's there for other people to grab and build on (even if they don't have knowledge of your idea!)
33  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Embroidery Doodles! on: November 30, 2006 06:39:34 AM
I love them!!!!

You should do more... I think they are very artsy and cool.

I just dabble in embroidery right now but this is definitely something that I'm now thinking of doing too to get used to the diff't stitches!

Wow.  Those cards are amazing!  Both sets are really great, and although they are totally different, you can kinda' see similar elements.

What a wonderful idea for project (or a personal swap).  Person A sends a few things to person B, and vice versa, and you have to make cards out of whatever you end up with, and maybe then exchange them!!!!!  [Katxena wanders off to to plot....]
Thanks!

In our case it was made a little bit easier by the fact that we're friends and live close by to each other but yeah, it could work really well just sending the same paper that you have to someone and doing it like that. We did each have a tiny bit of japanese paper that was diff't from the other person's....

And here are my cards from the same materials as what eloiseinmoscow used! She traded her #3 and #9 with me.

My little sister was also in on this with us so once she's done, we (or hopefully, she - if she ever signs up on Craftster) will post them!
38  CANADA / Ontario / Re: What to do in Toronto? on: November 29, 2006 07:25:39 PM
Hey! Someone just posted about a craft show at Sneaky Dee's at College and Bathurst, put on by the Church of Craft. You should check it out here - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=136271.msg1338082#msg1338082

Here's my idea, play pool downstairs over a pitcher of beer (or a plate of their awesome nachos) and then once you've softened him up, head upstairs to the show!!

Good luck and whatever you do, I'm sure you'll have fun!
