1  First World vs. Third World in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by shugrbee on: December 09, 2006 10:04:28 AM

I got to thinking about meals and how the meals here in the First World seem to far outweigh (literally) what the majority of people on the earth would eat on a daily basis so that was my starting point for this.

Here is my entry - dinner in 3 courses - appetizer, main and dessert:

2  Japanese Garden Cards in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by shugrbee on: December 04, 2006 09:23:47 PM
I'm doing a personal swap w Bobolink for her Japanese Garden theme and this is what I sent her: (I started out with just one card but in no time at all, it multiplied itself by 4! The glue was still drying in some of these photos...)

5  Re: Same materials, fun different outcomes in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by shugrbee on: November 29, 2006 07:55:03 PM
And here are my cards from the same materials as what eloiseinmoscow used! She traded her #3 and #9 with me.

My little sister was also in on this with us so once she's done, we (or hopefully, she - if she ever signs up on Craftster) will post them!

6  Re: Largest Craftster ATC swap GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by shugrbee on: November 23, 2006 07:18:30 PM
I received my card from bhean and it's really cool... I just hadn't gotten the chance to take the photo but here it is! It has a sort of transparent sheet over the woman's photo so it looks kind of hidden... what is she doing with that rooster?! ps. thank you and the baby is adorable!

7  Inspired by Alphons Mucha's Four Seasons in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by shugrbee on: November 23, 2006 02:33:16 PM
I did these back in August and will probably end up using them in my portfolio during my interview for school...they are made using a combination of regular coloured paper, japanese paper, magazine photos, markers, paint and finally candy/chocolate foil (I have a friend who stashes foil like it's going out of style so I borrowed some from her!)

I just wanted to post this separately, it's the Magician that I made for Anjelle.

Yeah... I have to say I'm really loving seeing all of the diff't ideas that everyone had. I love the Empress with the pregnant belly - I think it was Anjelle's and Paradise Crane's designs were really soft and sort of ephemeral. I really feel the energy from those ones!

Here is my whole collection together!

Kaos' Magician: I have to say I really liked the set of 3 that she did altogether so I'm really glad to have one!

Vampirategurrl08's High Priestess: As with all of these scans, you can't really tell how shiny the leaves are but it's really pretty. I also like the dark background - very mysterious!

Aliastriona_Angerboda's Empress: The design of this card is great. I really, really love it!

I'm hoping to make a frame for all of these somehow and display them all!!

Oh my god, alteredmommy, your Empress card is genius! I love it.

In other news, I received my Magician card yesterday from Kaos. I really like how she included the meaning of the card into the card's design. Very cool. The little thing in her hands is an actual sequin/shiny thing - the camera didn't capture its true brillance!

Thanks Kaos! I look forward to having you as a partner in one of the next rounds!
