2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: ***FIRST THREAD*** WALMART DRESS on: January 15, 2009 04:12:24 PM
holy rad!
My vote: Coffee Filters. You can sew them and dye them and they're al ruffly and cool. Youd have to sew them to some kind of fabric tho so they dont rip away.
Muslim fabric will work.  It was done on Project Runway a few years ago.  It looked stunning.
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: halloween on christmas... ideas?? on: November 29, 2008 02:50:10 PM
Presents wrapped in orange, purple and black with black or red bows.
Little plastic or polyclay bone garland.
Monsters and skellingtons with sanata hats.  I have xmas cards with a Where Wild Things Are monster hanging lights.
Skull tree topper, or angel of death if you got fancy.  Or a jack-o-lattern for G rating.
How about getting clear or just cheap plain balls and painting orange and black designs on them?
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: tired of the sexy-everything costumes? on: October 24, 2008 04:16:32 PM
I don't mind the sexy costumes, but it seems every year the stores are stocking fewer alternatives.  Sexy costumes are great when it's appropriate for the concept.  The Bettie Page nearly got me, naughty nurse/teacher/etc and other fantasies can be funny for the cheese factor.  Sexy Queen Elizabeth is a bit ridiculous.  It is also a little insulting to see traditional clothing made into ho-wear (can't believe someone felt the need to ho up the dirndl).  Overall, it just exhausts the sexy theme.  You can be sexy without your T+A out for all to see.  Look at 60's cat woman!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: rainbow brite tote! on: June 21, 2008 05:28:00 PM
I had the curtains and bedspread.  I was a Rainbow Brite fiend as a kid.  I still use the Starlite bank for all my change.
Did you need to know that?  Didn't think so. Tongue

The bag is great, I really like the stripes.  The ruffle makes it unique!

There are string lights hanging up.  They bulbs are globe shaped, I saw something like those in Target's Patio and Garden section for like $10.
Transylvanian Convention sign Dr. F throws his cape off in front of
Red wax lips are party favors, candy necklaces too for Dr. F's pearls?  If you can find a bunch of cheap ones, snazzy sunglasses?
Aliceowns00 has great ideas.

Hope you can get pink dish gloves for yourself!
