You know I think the person that made this dress is on Craftster. Either that or someone on here made a similar one for a fashion show she did. I remember that style. Does anyone remember who that may have been??

You are kidding right? it was listed as vintage? I love the 80s lol.

This dress is totally hot, I want to make one too now!

I usually make my own patterns by tracing clothing onto newspaper.  The top shouldn't be very hard to do this for, and you can probably figure out the ruffly skirt part pretty easy, too.  Here are some instructions for making ruffles: http://www.burdastyle.com/howtos/show/1454

Just remember to cut the fabric larger than the actual pattern, so you have some margin to work with for the zipper and seams.

Good luck!
thanks I am the type that needs to follow a pattern,so im not sure I can make my own pattern. I agree the ruffles part would be ok to do but the bodice hmmm......
It is a fab dress isnt it? I was prepared to pay up to $100! sigh, but someone beat me to it as always!

ah i see so you cant actually bend the spoons yourself? thats a shame....i guess ill have to try fluttering my eyelashes then. Tongue

I took the spoon toa local engineers/metal shop and asked them to flatten it and then they rounded it on one of their machines.  Thought these big burly men would think me strange but they had had strnger requests before so they say Grin Grin Grin
