I love how the "mature content" warning comes up after I have already seen the pic LOL!  That chapstick cozy is awesome!  I work in an adult store and we would totally sell something like that!  Love it!

That hat is awesome!  It looks like the gumnut hats (gumtrees are what Australians call most types of Eucalyptus) worn by Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, the gumnut babies.  Do a Google image search for Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.  They're my most favorite kid's books ever!!!

I got my thank you from Rosyposie yesterday but have not had a chance to open it yet, and I  may not have a chance until Friday.  I told you my life was crazy!  I will take photos once I do!

There's some info missing for my swap with Rosyposie - the date that she received the package is not there.  It was delivered on 11/2 and I know that Rosie has received my parcel because she has posted pics!

Glad to hear that you like the fabric Rosyposie, and I'm very sorry that you and Purplepaisley had to wait for your packages!  Next time I do a swap I'll have to get started a lot sooner - I always think I have more time than I really do!

PS I was thinking that they couldn't have been maggots because maggots (fly larvae) only eat dead flesh - I see someone posted in the comments that they must have been acorn weavils.  That makes much more sense!

I would think sticking them in the freezer would work too, that's what's recommended in a book I have on making wreaths with natural stuff. 

I guess baking them might cook the acorns (and the worms) and I don't know how well they'd last in a wreath if cooked!
