I would use Mod Podge instead of the elmers white glue.....to glue down. Mod Podge is also a sealer (& glue in one)....so possibly seal it once w/ that & then poly....I personally have had no exp. with polyurethane so I don;t want to steer you in a wrong direction, BUT I absolutely love MOD-PODGE!!!! (local craft stores- comes on matte, glossy & new Sparkle finish)
OK....so i live in an apartment....you're not suppose to paint, but we did (of course) Just the living room though. Turns out we are gonna be here another year & I CAN'T TAKE THE WHITE WALLS IN OUR BEDROOM ANYMORE!
Run down: We have a nice red living room. He has a room to himself- the "studio", with all of his stuff & wall tapestry's (so no paint in there). My "space" has been the living room, but it's getting far too cluttered. So I've decided to take on our very junky bedroom. we only have 1 very small closet (in bedroom) & 1 small pantry (across from bath). I want to make our room FUNTIONAL for me yet ROMANTIC for us.
ANY IDEAS.....very small, cluttered, uh small, room......... *(tears)*
ALSO: I am willing to swap (personal) for cute shelving, storage containers, etc. (Let me know & we can discuss it further).....I am also looking for neat picture frames too..... THANKS
