51  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / first things ive ever sewn (thx to free sewing machine) alexisonfire skirt + 1 on: March 04, 2005 03:51:09 AM
ive been lurking these forums for awhile, so it's my time to post now haha.

okay so, i got a free sewing machine 2 days ago (thanks to freecycle.org - it's neat, you should all check it out)
i apologize for the bad quality pictures.. i only have a webcam, and a very messy bedroom!

this is made from an alexisonfire shirt (it is the 2nd thing i have ever sewn. got the tute from ohmystars).. EVERYONE has this shirt, so i decided to be original:

this is on the front in the bottom left corner

here is the front, you can kinda see the skull in heart logo !

here is the bum! yes alexisonfire is on my bum!

and here is a side view, you can see the bum and the skull in heart logo

here is the first thing ive EVER sewn. it didtn really turn out, but im gunna try to iron it, i just got an iron yesterday haha. it's made from a pair of cargo pants, and a pair of plaid old man golfer pants ive never worn because they looked funny on me, but bought in my "punk stage".

53  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / adam of taking back sunday painting... on: February 27, 2005 04:18:16 AM
now.. i am NOT a painter.
but i had this canvas, and some paints, and i was bored.
so i thought i'd attempt a painting of adam of taking back sunday!
mainly because i love this picture that i have of him...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/xambulanceromancex/tbs-painting.jpg

it isn't that great or anything but keep in mind its pretty much the first painting i ever put effort into.

i bought 2 more canvases, going to see if i can do something neat with them.

wish me luck <3
54  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / easy no-sew girly shirts. on: February 21, 2005 11:51:39 AM
this is my first clothing post with pictures.
and my first shirt project i guess. i usually do paper crafts and other things.
never clothing because i can't sew!!! (i'm willing to learn though hehehe)

anyway, i went to a ladies night party the other night and my friend had this shirt that was off the shoulder and really cute looking. i asked her if she did it herself or bought it somewhere and she said she made it herself. she just laid the shirt down flat and cut it across without cutting the sleeves off. then she trimmed the sleeves a bit so it didnt have that thick part.

well i usually just wear band tshirts or whatever, i am not really big into the girly clothes, but i figured it was time to maybe have at least one girly shirt. so then i came home and found a couple shirts that i never wear. and i cut up the first one and it was cute, so i did another.

sorry for the quality of the images, all i have is a webcam right now.

i know these are really simple, but i figured it is a good post for beginners, like myself. it's REALLY easy, but still adds a cute touch to your boring t-shirts.
55  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / - Domino Cork Board - on: July 14, 2004 07:56:20 PM
hey guys. i was bored one night (well morning) at like 4am, and i found my dominos which i never play anymore... soooo i decided i wanted to do something crafty with them.

i looked over at my corkboard and realized i could hot glue them to the back of thumbtacks, and around the frame.

heres the result:

i kinda wish i had more dominos but whatever, i like it. haha.
56  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / - Domino Cork Board - on: July 01, 2004 07:00:58 AM
i've already done this but since i don't have pictures yet.. i thought i would put it here..

i was really bored one night.. or morning i suppose at like 5am, and i was cleaning my room and i found dominoes!!!! and i was trying to think of something crafty to do with them...

then i looked over at my cork board on my wall and DING! i got this idea.

i took about 20 thumb tacks or so, and hot glue gunned dominoes to the flat part of them... (making domino tacks!!) and then i took the rest of the dominoes and glued them randomly around the frame of the cork board.

it looks pretty neat, most of my friends think so at least, but they don't really appreciate crafts the way you folks do Cheesy
