anyway! i need some ideas on how i can create the following things:

- truck cutout type thing (basically we want to make a fake truck so we can take photos of customers and print them out for them) its to look like bella's truck ( i was thinking like cardboard or something painted?)
- grassy mossy things... ? and wood things? just as decorations to make it look foresty...

and basically other decoration ideas .. our themes of colour are red black and sparkly.

we plan to have some large chess pieces as well but not sure how to do it?

16  COOKING / Dessert / Super Easy Cinnamon Buns! on: June 23, 2008 04:35:35 PM
so tonight i was thinking what my boyfriend and i could have for a snack.... we dont really have flour or anything.. but i looked in the cupboard and saw a box of bisquick. we dont have cheese and i was thinking about making biscuits, but i really prefer them with cheese Sad

so then i went online and googled things to make with bisquick. i saw a recipe for cinnamon buns, and thought id try it out. though it called for white sugar and we dont have any of that either. so i substituted brown sugar for the white sugar and away i went.

they were super good! (my boyfriend rated them a 9.9/10 .. i always make him rate my food lol!) and i thought they could have stand to have a little more cinnamon. but he loved them!!!

this was my first time ever making cinnamon buns!

here they are fresh out of the oven! Cheesy

and here they are with glaze! yum!

so without further ado, i give you the recipe:

INGREDIENTS

Rolls
2 tablespoons sugar [i used brown sugar]
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 1/2 cups Original Bisquick.
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar [i used brown sugar]
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
softened 1/4 cup raisins [optional, but i didnt use]
Glaze (below)

Glase
2 cups powdered/icing/confectioner's sugar
4 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon margarine melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS[/u]

For Rolls:
1. Heat oven to 375 F. Grease bottom and sides of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. Stir together 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; reserve.

2. Stir Bisquick, milk and 2 tablespoons sugar until dough forms. If dough is too sticky, gradually mix in enough Bisquick (up to 1/4 cup) to make dough easy to handle. Turn dough onto surface well dusted with Bisquick; gently roll in Bisquick to coat.

3. Shape into ball; knead 10 times. Roll into rectangle, 15x9 inches; spread with butter. Sprinkle evenly with sugar mixture [sprinkle evenly with raisins now too if you're using them]. Roll up tightly, beginning at 15-inch side. Seal well by pinching edge of dough into roll. Cut into 1 1/4-inch slices; place cut sides down in pan.

4. Bake 23 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Spread Glaze over warm rolls.

For Glaze: Stir ingredients together until smooth.

19  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Etsy Business Card Swap?? on: June 07, 2008 09:24:57 PM
hi everyoooone!

so i'm not sure if:
A) this has been done before, i searched etsy swap and got 48 pages of results Sad
B) this is allowed???

but heres my idea:

we do an etsy business card swap (duh)!

what you do is mail out 25 (or more?)  business cards to 5 different people (paired up accordingly and best matched with what your shop sells - i'll know this by the survey thingie). PLUS one small item from your shop (or if you don't sell small items, then something similar with the same theme to whats in your shop...)

that way its still a fun gifty swap, it shouldnt take too much time, and the word will get out about your shop (as the point is for people to send your biz cards with their sold products! forgot to mention that part, lol!)

so when all said and done, each person will send out and receive 5 small items, and 125 (or more?) business cards.

i think this swap would be a ton of fun! anyone with me on this?Huh

20  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Let's See Your Packaging! on: May 16, 2008 10:26:46 PM
hi everyone! so i'm just curious about the way everyone packages their items!

i've seen a lot of threads about jewelry packaging, but i thought it would be neat to have one thread where you can see all sorts of packaging! maybe you could get an idea from one type of packaging for a totally different item!

okay let me see em! Smiley
