1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / fabric flowers & baby headbands! (pic heavy) on: December 31, 2013 12:55:36 AM
i've always been into making hair flowers, for years now, and my technique seems to have improved over the years. i thought it would be neat to show the progress Tongue

edit: put this one up here as well so it will be the thumbnail, hopefully!

in the beginning (a flower and a bow):

a few years later:

and after that (you can see the improvement already):

**still one of my favs**

the problem is, the hair flowers were becoming HUGE and heavy, as i was gluing them instead of sewing them...

and most recently (mostly handsewn with minimal amounts of glue, meaning they are lightweight!):

and some baby headbands i've started making:

thanks for looking!  Kiss

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / So many hair flowers! *pic heavy* on: March 22, 2013 12:05:39 AM
HELLLOOOOOO Craftster world. I've missed you Smiley

Hopefully I don't get in trouble for posting these on their card backings but I promise I'm not advertising them. They're just for my craft shows, I don't really sell things online.

Anyway, I just got into making hair flowers recently... I used to just go to the dollar store, rip apart fake flowers, and glue them back together with something in the middle... however, I now make them completely from fabric, and put all the pieces together. Smiley I love mixing layers with different fabrics, too fun.

Sorry about the awful photos, they're from my cell phone!

Hope you enjoy Smiley

here are my first ever headbands!

and a hair bow / clip on bowtie Smiley
