2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / crocheted kiwi bird -and other amigurumi friends on: February 03, 2006 01:38:27 PM

I'm obsessed with kiwis (the bird) lately so I had to crochet one. There's a picture of three kiwis in the first Amigurumi Collection so I tried to figure out how to make it, improvising.

These are just some other little amigurumi creatures that I made some time ago for a swap.
Hope that you like them :-)

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / old buttons become wonderful pins! (tut) on: December 11, 2004 04:10:57 AM
I made these pins recycling old vintage buttons that I found at home or at a thrift store.
Here's how to make them
I cut the back of the plastic buttons, then glued with loctite to some other larger flat buttons. Added a glued pin on the back.

My friend Alessandra makes these original rings with polymer clay handmade figures, ribbons and sequins.
What do you think about them? Have you ever seen something like those before?
I would like some feedback because I would like to encourage her to make more  Cheesy

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / mug mats on: December 02, 2004 03:30:58 AM
I've noticed that nobody has posted this crafty idea yet. So...
scented mug mats!!!
They are lightly padded and I added clover and cinnamon. When you put the hot mug on them they smell so good!
I think it is a quick, easy to make idea for christmas presents. Just choose a christmas fabric... Wink

10  COOKING / Dessert / my halloween biscotti! on: October 31, 2004 06:40:06 AM

these are my wine biscotti with aniseeds. It's a typical italian recipe. If you want it, I can share  Wink
Usually they must be made in a ring shape, and they are served with sweet wine. This time I shaped them as tiny bones, so they're ideal for Halloween.

And these are my cat shaped biscotti. I use to make them for my Halloween parties and my friends love them. They're covered with chocolate and two m&m's make the eyes.
Happy halloween!!![/color]
