21  Re: Altoid Tin Theme Swap Round 6 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TreeTree on: July 12, 2007 03:48:23 PM
I received my tin from ashestoashes yesterday.  She chose my monkey/bananas theme and included some of my sushi theme inside.

The banana and the monkey have velcro backs!  So they go on and off the little felt tin...very cute!  I love love love the felt sushi/chinese food in my little pouch.

23  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by TreeTree on: June 25, 2007 05:09:03 PM
For awhile now I've always thought when I saw my friends get tatoos, "That's nice, but I have no clue what I'd want."  I have no aversion to tats but I couldn't think of anything I'd want.  Finally a month ago it hit me and now I can't get it out of my head.  I need to get a cross section of a chambered nautilus:

or

Not sure if I want to do the brown tones or the blue shiny look.  Maybe even just a black ink drawing.  I've been fascinated by the nautilus for awhile now.  I love the symbolism, once a nautilus grows into it's next chamber the previous one is sealed off.  There's no looking back.  Also there's something about it following the fibonaci sequence.  I think I want it on either my left shoulder or in between my shoulder blades.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

Well it's finally getting sunny here in CT...Wednesday I took a quick detour to the beach on my way home and Francine finally got to see the ocean.  Here's a pic of her looking for some seashells....so many pretty ones, she wanted to take them all home, but I talked her out of it.

Francine is settling down and trying to get acquainted with everyone in the house.  Everyone loves Francine.....except maybe Duchess.  Francine tried her best but the Duchess just wasn't impressed...I've explained to Francine that Duchy can be very moody.  Maybe she'll try to win her over again later.

26  Re: Little Visitor Swap #6!!! Sign-ups CLOSED, Send outs March 16 & May 1 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by TreeTree on: March 16, 2007 09:24:06 AM
oooh Leon is in Maumee, OH right now! Only a few more days until hes here
Isn't tracking with UPS fun?  I'm glad he left CT before we got the snowstorm. Hopefully they've but the shipping envelope in some sort of plastic covering to further waterproof the little guy.

Oh, you may think I'm weird, but I also like going to google maps so I can actually SEE the progress as well.  I have a life really I do.

28  Modified Zeeby... in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by TreeTree on: March 04, 2007 06:35:40 AM
The Zeeby bag I was making seemed too large so I reduced the amount of stitches and needle size...I can't remember to what....I wrote it somewhere in this messy room.  This was for my swap partner in the HP House swap, she's a Gryffindor (yeah, duh, I know)

I made a pair for my Gryffindor partner in the Harry Potter House swap...she received on thursday, so now I can show everyone!  This is really an excellent tutorial, very easy to understand.

Wow, this is a whole lot of red and gold isn't it?  lol  I really, really need to learn entrelac now...

I feel sheepish that I couldn't remember fellytone...I KNEW Mr. Weasley called it something silly, but I didn't have time to hunt for what it was.
I took some pics before I sent and one pic in particular shows off the fabric, bracelet and a bit of the bag.

It's hard to see but there are little star beads sprinkled throughout...they are my favorite part.  I kind of had a magical star theme and I didn't even plan on it.
