1  1950s Housewife Woodcut Kitchen Utensils (a bit image laden) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by taciturn on: August 17, 2006 10:12:37 AM
The equation:

Silkscreen + wood + old kitchen utensils + 1950s images + power tools + lots of swearing = um...this!

Meet the ladies:

There used to be two more, but I gave a couple away as gifts.  Here are a few close ups of the rest, though.

My secret favorite is the one with the spatula head.

Obviously they wouldn't hold up to actual kitchen work, but I thought that fairly fitting since the women hardly look like they've been toiling away...

Thanks for looking!

I'm back to Internetland, and I come with additional pictures of the monster coin purse from teddybearbones.  She posted one picture earlier, but her picture doesn't show the best part, so here are a couple more.

This here is his open mouth and his tongue!

And if you were a coin, this is the last sight you would ever see...

Is it weird that I only want to put clean money into my coin purse?

I win. that's it. I am the winner. I got the best t-shirt from taciturn today! I really really really hope she took pictures, cause it's awesome. On the front it says"i solemnly swear i'm up to no good" and on the back it says "mischeif managed"! (harry potter stuff) *it was screenprinted* how freaking sweet is that? oh i think i love her.... THANK YOU!

Alas, no pictures of this shirt exist, but thanks again for the kind words!

I also received a fantastic set of notecards from devilninny in the mail over the weekend.  She used old children's books to make a quirky set that are certainly going to be put to good use.

The set:

My favorite:

Thanks again devilninny!  They are most excellent!
