1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / ...my baby plays the guitar, I pick a banjo now... on: March 03, 2010 07:38:09 PM
This was initially going to be my entry into the current tiny thing challenge but the neck seems to have stretched a little beyond 2 inches. It bums me out a little but I don't want to enter it if it's above the size limit.

My wonderful feller recently picked up the banjo and I made this itty bitty banjo in honor of him. <3

I even made a mini-hard shell case to protect it.

...and of course it's lined with grey "fur" (felt...)

Secret compartment for extra fingerpicks/strings/what have you.

Hope you like it!

2  COOKING / Dessert / Birthday Cake 2009 on: December 26, 2009 12:37:40 PM
Today is my birthday and my mum made me a cake. It has my Boston Terrier, Bug, on it.  Grin

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Swirls Cap and Puppy-sized Starghan on: October 12, 2009 05:51:26 PM
This hat turned out even better than I expected! I made it to match a zig-zag/ripple/wave/whatever stripey scarf that I finished a couple weeks ago (you can see a bit of it in the pics). It was made using the AWESOME pattern by Sophia Kessinger on ravelry. I would absolutely recommend it!

And this isn't really worth noting, but I felt we could all use a little gratuitous puppy action.
It's a little stash busting starghan I made to put in Bug's crate. She loves snuggling under blankies.  Grin

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Modified Skullface Cap and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Scarf! on: October 12, 2009 05:45:50 PM
These are two old FO's that I never got around to posting. The first is a hat I made using the chart for Skullface from Knitty. Let me tell you, for some reason it was a bitch to knit in the round! I was so glad to be done with it.

I get a lot of wear out of this, it's probably my favorite hat.

This is the amazing technicolor dream scarf...knit with 4 balls of Koigu KPPPM. This took me FOREVER, about a year actually, because I kept putting it down. I think I may have even made it a little too long...eep.  Undecided

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / 3 New Paintings on: August 11, 2009 06:18:25 PM
Three new paintings; one done last night, the other two tonight. They're all 5"x7" so they're pretty small.

Legs.

Butt...my favorite of the 3 paintings.  Grin

The hand is a little crappy and small but I've already committed to being done with it...so oh well.  Roll Eyes

Thanks for looking.
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Recent digital drawings on: July 14, 2009 04:54:51 PM
Some are better than others, some of the subject matter is a little weird... Wink

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitted Panties (exactly what it sounds like) on: April 11, 2009 10:35:36 PM

Color representation isn't the best...the waist band and bow are actually hot pink.
8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / A handful of FOs from the past couple months on: March 26, 2009 03:56:06 PM
It's been so long since I've actually posted any of my FOs on craftster. I guess I just fell into a funk for a while. Anyway, here a couple things I've crocheted in the past couple months. They're all pretty simple but they're my own designs (mostly made up as I was making them).

Itty bitty olive! I was practicing shaping in crochet (which I'm still relatively new to...I'm a knitter at heart!  Tongue)

I hadn't quite perfected changing colors yet but I wanted to show you his little pimento.

Mystery poultry! Made on a whim one night, mostly just to see if I could do it.

This is a change purse I made for my partner in the One Tiny Thing swap. It's simple, but I thought it turned out pretty elegant.

I even lined it! I'm pretty proud of this considering how terrible I usually am at lining things.

I liked it so much that I made a blue version for myself! The flower reminds me of a buttercup.  Smiley

Lining! Because it just buttons closed it's not really so great for holding change but it is the perfect size for my little square ipod nano.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / How much roving would I need... on: February 04, 2009 03:00:04 PM
How much roving (in ounces) would I need in order to make an adult-sized pair of thrummed mittens? I've never ventured into the world of spinning and I've never purchased roving so I'm not sure how much I should get.  Huh

Thanks!!
10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Post Secret Swap V? on: April 14, 2008 05:30:18 PM
