541  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Mittens in tha' spring on: May 29, 2006 05:43:00 PM
I'd been craving some hand-knit mittens all winter long but was too swamped with applications, and long-term projects, and a number of other graduation-related obligations to actually make them. Things have slowed down (thankfully) and I finally made myself some cozy mitts. They're 100% acrylic (oh, the squeaky goodness) and I love them. They have little buttons at the wrists to keep them closed and add some interest. The main yarn reminds me of rotten wood with little worms peeking out of it everywhere. I love them. Also, here's a gratuitous mouse photo  Grin

542  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: "Acid" Bag on: May 29, 2006 05:27:38 PM
Thanks!  Cheesy I'm just not much of a purple-y person but I dig it anyway. I was afraid it would clash terribly with the bottom half.

This is the first large bag I ever knit (to completion). I was still honing my knitting skills when I made it and I've improved greatly since then. This was knit a while ago but I figured it was good enough to be my first real project posted on here.

It is knit in an acrylic/wool blend and the top purplish half was originally set to be white. However, it seems that bulky white yarn is like hen's teeth in all my LYSs. I'm still pretty satisfied with it. It's lined with some amazing fabric I bought a year or so ago at Wal-mart for a buck a yard (the pattern is the reason it was dubbed "the acid bag").

544  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! on: May 29, 2006 05:06:12 PM
I really want to get a buffalo wrapping around my right hip... the thing going into my green panties is a crude sketch of a tumbleweed. That's still optional...I'd have to actually sketch it out and see if I like it or not.

This is just a quick sketch I did in photoshop. The actual thing would be pretty realistic and colored in.

Dig the awesome pants marks left across my belly.
