I agree about the placement of the kanji. I think it might look really nice if it were a little smaller and off to the bottom right, rather than on top.  Smiley

I want the Japanese kanji for creative ("takumi") with a cherry blossom branch behind it.  I want the kanji to be black, the branch to be brown, and the cherry blossoms (of course) to be pink.

I took a stab at the idea, not sure if this is what you were talking about or not.  Smiley

The outlines on the flowers came out a lot more prominent than I hoped, but oh well.

Woohoo! I'm glad you like everything, Carrie! I wasn't sure if the birdie jewelry would be your taste, as it's kinda bold but I thought I'd give it a try. The bird on the necklace originally had little plastic feet but they kept catching on everything so I removed em to make him more wear-friendly (hence the two little holes on his bottom). Smiley

Thanks for being an awesome partner!

I received my awesome package from carrieme on Monday!  Grin

She made me a very cute little jellyfish stuffie:

Here he is lounging on my monitor so you can see his dangly tentacles. Gotta love rick rack!

She even made me some very cute jellyfish inspired earrings! Look at the little (handmade) card type deal they're on! Love his little smile!

She also included a couple handmade jellyfish note cards. Very cute!

Thank you, carrieme!!

Believe it or not I actually started on my stuffie already! As soon as I read my partner's info I knew what I had to make so I drew up a couple sketches (a couple? more like 20...) and got to work. I'm at work right now and I just stepped out at lunch time to go to Joann's and pick up some extra supplies and I gathered everything up and I was waiting in line when I checked my wallet and my debit card was missing!!! I nearly had a freakin' heart attack and then I remembered that I put it in my pants pocket yesterday and forgot to take it out... Roll Eyes

Gah! I'll try again tomorrow...

I agree, these are great, as are your photos, but are they not scratchy in certain areas?!? Embarrassed

Not at all! They're actually really soft and comfy! I was thinking about sewing a lining in just to make 'em more wear-friendly but even without it they aren't uncomfortable. I think it really depends on the yarn you make them out of though.
