71  William Goat. in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by how_german on: August 11, 2006 01:29:09 AM
This is William Goat. He was created this evening.
As you can see he's a particularly handsome model.

William Goat can indeed fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.

 Indeed.

73  OH DEAR LORD PIG in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by how_german on: August 01, 2006 11:36:24 PM
I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY HOURS THIS TOOK. It is seriously 2:34 in the morning and I JUST finished this. I had this sudden, almost painful, inspiration to make a little teeny pig. And I'll tell you what, it was totally worth all the tedious pattern making and cutting and sewing and stuffing. Lookit muh piggy!!

Here he stands reigning over his tiny altoid empire...he's totally diggin' it.

Peeigggg Facccceeee!!!

Yes. Yes, he indeed does have a curly pig tail. I am seriously crazy.

Now I am going to promptly head to the bathroom where I will brush my teeth and then I will pass out in my bed...knowing that I made a little pig that is totally satisfied with life. He's a happy pig, indeed.

74  Re: Newbies Only Swap! in The Swap Gallery by how_german on: July 31, 2006 10:36:34 PM
Soooooooooooo I received my package from sewknitter this morning!!! I can't even begin to express how excited I was, but I guess everyone in this thread can relate! Here are the lovely items I received:

First and foremost was this amazingly well made shrug out of the most beautiful yarn I've ever seen. You can't tell by the photos but it's a beautiful shade of brown with some blue flecks throughout it:

Look at the cable work on the back!!

This is the only action shot I took because it's 90 something degrees and this sweater is definitely quite warm.

Here's a lovely little tatted bookmark, I'm thoroughly impressed with this.

Check out the nifty green stitchmarkers she made me! I didn't even tell her that I needed any! My last set suffered some kind of horrible accident...they're crappy to use now because of it so these came just in time!

In my little swap questionnaire I stated that I wanted ANYTHING amigurumi so she whipped up this lovely little elephant for me. Gotta love his little hat!

My absolute favorite dessert is pineapple upside down cake and to make me feel like one giant one she crocheted this awesome pin/brooch for me! I haven't taken it off since I got it!

EVERYTIME I look at this I laugh!! This has become my absolute favorite thing she sent! He's a nifty little quilty chicken pincushion and I lurrrrvvve him!

This didn't photograph too well against my white bedspread, but it's a little fuzzy mint green mouse that'll never get old or die (like my beloved Maxine).

Ohhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhh...you cannot say that package isn't completely awesome!
I love everything! Looking forward to seeing all of your packages, too!

<3 Nikki

75  odd cards for odd kids... in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by how_german on: July 28, 2006 05:39:47 PM
This post is QUITE late but I felt it'd be appreciated here...
These are some odd valentines I made for all of my friends at the beginning of this year. They're all shaped like buffalo (simply because I love them) and the images on the cards varied depending upon the person. I made quite a few but these were the only photos I could find:

This is a drawing of a chick with a split tongue for a friend who had a fascination with it...

Sexy lingerie wearing buffalo...for a lingerie obsessed chick. (notice the rhinestone eye)

And a Stalin/Red Square buffalo for a self-proclaimed communist chick.

Hope you guys like 'em!

76  Domo-Kun & Bunny! in Knitting: Completed Projects by how_german on: July 28, 2006 05:25:50 PM
These are two cell phone holders I made for a couple of my friends last Christmas. I just found the pictures on my computer and decided they were cool enough to be posted on here. I sewed their undies by hand and they're removable!

Dig it:

By the way, Domo-Kun is actually more chocolatey brown in real life...the picture made the colors odd.

77  Faux Leather Finish - a revamped dining room table! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by how_german on: July 11, 2006 11:59:03 AM
Hey guys, this is a project that my mom did a few days ago but I promised her I'd post it here because she's so proud of it!

"Well, since it's been crappy weather I've been busy inside the house.  I refinished the dining room table to look like leather.  I took brown paper bags, Elmer's glue, polyurethane  and finishing nails... I think it's pretty cool!"

78  Re: iPod Cozies in Knitting: Completed Projects by how_german on: July 09, 2006 03:02:47 PM
I've made so many iPod cases I can barely keep track. I just made this cozy today for my new Sony CyberShot. I really like it. It reminds me of ice cream so I've dubbed it "helado".

79  ...tiny taco. in Completed Projects by how_german on: July 07, 2006 06:59:56 PM
This is the third pincushion I've sewn in 3 days. However, I guess I was burnt out while I made this because I'm not digging it too much now...
Tis a taco with guacamole, cheese, and sour cream. The little yellow corn tortilla is my favorite part.

80  (Pin)eapple Upside-down Cake! in Completed Projects by how_german on: July 07, 2006 06:56:42 PM
I bought a LOAD of felt a few weeks ago and I have been a pincushion sewing MANIAC for the past 3 days. Here is my pineapple upside down cake cushion:

Hmm...bakery fresh?

Seriously...I am crazy.
