1  ...my baby plays the guitar, I pick a banjo now... in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by sweaterbrau on: March 03, 2010 07:38:09 PM
This was initially going to be my entry into the current tiny thing challenge but the neck seems to have stretched a little beyond 2 inches. It bums me out a little but I don't want to enter it if it's above the size limit.

My wonderful feller recently picked up the banjo and I made this itty bitty banjo in honor of him. <3

I even made a mini-hard shell case to protect it.

...and of course it's lined with grey "fur" (felt...)

Secret compartment for extra fingerpicks/strings/what have you.

Hope you like it!

3  Swirls Cap and Puppy-sized Starghan in Crochet: Completed Projects by sweaterbrau on: October 12, 2009 05:51:26 PM
This hat turned out even better than I expected! I made it to match a zig-zag/ripple/wave/whatever stripey scarf that I finished a couple weeks ago (you can see a bit of it in the pics). It was made using the AWESOME pattern by Sophia Kessinger on ravelry. I would absolutely recommend it!

And this isn't really worth noting, but I felt we could all use a little gratuitous puppy action.
It's a little stash busting starghan I made to put in Bug's crate. She loves snuggling under blankies.  Grin

4  Modified Skullface Cap and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Scarf! in Knitting: Completed Projects by sweaterbrau on: October 12, 2009 05:45:50 PM
These are two old FO's that I never got around to posting. The first is a hat I made using the chart for Skullface from Knitty. Let me tell you, for some reason it was a bitch to knit in the round! I was so glad to be done with it.

I get a lot of wear out of this, it's probably my favorite hat.

This is the amazing technicolor dream scarf...knit with 4 balls of Koigu KPPPM. This took me FOREVER, about a year actually, because I kept putting it down. I think I may have even made it a little too long...eep.  Undecided

Thanks for looking!

5  3 New Paintings in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by sweaterbrau on: August 11, 2009 06:18:25 PM
Three new paintings; one done last night, the other two tonight. They're all 5"x7" so they're pretty small.

Butt...my favorite of the 3 paintings.  Grin

The hand is a little crappy and small but I've already committed to being done with it...so oh well.  Roll Eyes

Thanks for looking.

6  Re: 44 Cents Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by sweaterbrau on: August 11, 2009 03:15:04 PM
I received my package from malmow today! Check out my loot:

Various little papers and some yarn scraps. That holographic paper is awesome.  Grin

Little odds and ends, note the VERY cute little inchies she included and the little boot confetti (awesome). The little skull charm is being made into a bracelet as we speak.

And in my questionnaire I said that I'd love to receive drawings from my swap partners. Look at how cute these all are! Malmow wrote on the back that I shouldn't include a close-up but I think they're adorable!

Thanks so much!!!  Cheesy

Some are better than others, some of the subject matter is a little weird... Wink

9  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by sweaterbrau on: June 07, 2009 06:47:38 PM
I want the Japanese kanji for creative ("takumi") with a cherry blossom branch behind it.  I want the kanji to be black, the branch to be brown, and the cherry blossoms (of course) to be pink.

I took a stab at the idea, not sure if this is what you were talking about or not.  Smiley

The outlines on the flowers came out a lot more prominent than I hoped, but oh well.

10  Re: Love of Stuffies Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by sweaterbrau on: April 29, 2009 04:21:17 PM
I received my awesome package from carrieme on Monday!  Grin

She made me a very cute little jellyfish stuffie:

Here he is lounging on my monitor so you can see his dangly tentacles. Gotta love rick rack!

She even made me some very cute jellyfish inspired earrings! Look at the little (handmade) card type deal they're on! Love his little smile!

She also included a couple handmade jellyfish note cards. Very cute!

Thank you, carrieme!!
