1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: BooshSwap4 Gallery on: February 09, 2008 04:10:47 PM
Big bags are good! I only ever made bags in school and both times I ended up cutting the fabric too small and it ended up looking more like a mobile phone holder, lol!
Ooo and I love cup-a-soup so can't wait to try the miso!!! Thanx again for being a great swapper!!

Yay I got my package from Babizzle, it's soooo brilliant, I was ripping open the lovely red wrapping as soon as I got it!!!

Here is it all together:

Miso soup! An oriental prince in the land of soup!!!

Ive never tried it but it looks so yummy (and I love soup!!!) I can't wait to have it for lunch one day!

A bag of sweeties! Just like in the episode where they have Ivan the bear in the van. Aaah tuck shop memories flooding back, this is so cool, I never see shops selling sweets like this in the little bags anymore! I had to take a picture quick cos my housemates kept dipping into them!

Mod badges! I adore badges so I am loving these! Now I've just gotta get myself a suit and a wolf costume... Wink

A Vince Noir mirror, now I can look at lovely pix of Vince and my own reflection at the same time! I love what it says on the back, this is definately Vince's personality summed up in 1 item!! I love how the top 3 images are him wearing 3 different types of hat!!

Boosh bling! I'm gonna have a Boosh party this month and I am soooo wearing this to it, it's on a really cool long chain too, I love it!

A gorgeous charm bracelet, there are so many charms, it musta taken ages! It looks brilliant and I can't wait to wear this to the Boosh party as well!!

And finally this super fabby bag!!!! The silver design is so sharp and well done, it looks great with the black and also this bag is super massive, which is perfect because I fly alot and always have to stuff everything into 1 bag to go through security - so this looks great and is really handy too! After the last tour everyone was wearing the lightning bolt T shirts and now I have a cool bag with the design on, its fantastic!!

So thank you soooo much Babizzle, I love every single item!!! You're a star! Roll on the next Boosh swap!!

Oo I'm glad you got everything ok, I was scared the Insta-Goth kit would get all shaken up so I put that bubblewrap behind the nail varnish, it should still stay in place if you take it out (oh and the Goth Juice is real extra-hold hairspray!). Yup they're real polos, they kept falling off though so I'm glad they stayed on during the journey in the post! There are some pix I took before I sent it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14638570@N07/sets/72157603799730175/
The bag with the felt on gave me such a headache, originally I did a inkjet iron-on transfer but it went horribly wrong at the last minute, so I did that felt design over the top, but actually that looks better than what I'd originally planned!

9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Re: Transfer paper question on: January 15, 2008 10:46:04 AM
Yeah I agree with the other post, leave it for a few seconds (or how ever many it says) and rip it off when its still hot/warm, Avery paper is fairly good and I don't remember it being too shiney.
10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Tips for A4 size images on: January 15, 2008 10:44:30 AM
I'm getting nervous about something I'm going to make - the type of paper I use (just the stationary shop's own brand since I can't find any other types near me) has been fine and gives good results when I do small transfers, by that I mean smaller than the face of the iron, but in the past with other projects I've messed up larger A4 size images. Once I tried 3 seperate times to do an A4 size image and I did it exactly to instructions (such as moving the iron about and pressing equally firmly on all parts of the image) but you could still see loads of lines in the curved shape of the iron, it looked awful! So any tips on how to avoid dodgy iron shapes?
