Hi!    I used to be very active on Craftster, but got distracted for a couple years.  Here goes my first post in ages...

This summer, I started to get interested in embroidery.  My mom is a quilter, so she convinced me to make them into quilts.  They're perfect for the walls of my new apartment.

The first one is a witch that I got from The Google.  I used crayon tinting to color her in and was slightly worried that it would ruin it.  But it didn't!  From start to finish, it took about four days.


The second is from TheFlossBox (http://www.etsy.com/shop/Theflossbox) and it both diagrams and defines mitosis.  I have a special place in my geeky heart for this process of cell division, so this pattern was perfect.  It took about five days to finish it.

It looks like I got this picture before ironing!

Woowww! I thought this was machine embroidery before I read that it was all by hand.  I love how you did his hair so that it looks like strands.

Etsy has recently added an "Activity" section (the icon that looks like a spiral) so you can see when someone favorites one of your items, you favorite someone else's, and purchases.  Basically, it lets you know what is going on.  Now when someone is in your circle, you see what they are doing.  Like "hey, look, my favorite seller just added a new item!"  Other than this, I am not really sure what else they are for.

I hope someone else is more knowledgeable!

This is awesome!  The red and grey look great together and you have your molecules down to an art.

I love me some chemistry and have a plain lab coat right now.  Embroidering organic molecules will be my next project, I think.

I've recently become obsessed with slouch hats, and this one is so beautiful!  I love how simple it is, but the yarn adds depth.  I can't wait for a pattern!
