1  Re: Myspace Stalker Swap in The Swap Gallery by oddtraveler on: August 17, 2006 02:38:46 PM
My goodness! Thanks lynbird for posting the pics - I've been looking for my camera cord for almost a week now - I just found it today and was coming on to post pics... I'm loving the tote bag; I was thiking about how I could use another tote bag specifically for my jewelry class stuff, and the next day, there it was!  Cute and celticy (just like me! Wink)

Three pairs of rockin'devil's horns...

I'm gonna have to wait until halloween or I'm in the states to use the horns, but they're not going to waste!

And last but not least, a cute beaded bracelet set!

Thanks again, lynbird, great swapping with you!

2  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by oddtraveler on: June 17, 2006 10:16:10 PM
I'm SOOO psyched I can't wait to get enough cash to do this!  Of course, it's a cover job so I hope I CAN do this!  I mean I'm okay with what I have if I can't cover it, but it's not like I'm beaming with pride about it anymore, and it's just some a prime spot for a large tat and I am LOVING this idea.  All my other ideas I keep being indecisive about, not this one!

This is what I'm wanting to cover...

And this is what I'm wanting to cover it with, with some clean up on the color work and roots

The stars because I thought it would be great to get the main part of Orion, which always leaves me with a sense of peace and knowing that I'll be okay whenever I see it.  That of course would go beyond the design and the bottom two stars would wind up being around my lower back, but the idea is to get it done in UV so it really shines like the stars.

On another note, how cool would it be to get other things that glowed done in UV? Constellations, fireflies (or Firefly Tongue ) that door in the Lord of the Rings, the one ring, ooh! those bioluminescent fish, jellyfish...

3  Doggie Sushi Costume in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by oddtraveler on: April 24, 2006 09:42:44 PM
I read somewhere on here about someone who had created a sushi costume for a pug, and that link is dead even if you register for the site, so I here's my own version! (Success, a pic!)
Thanks to my sweet little Washy dude for being such a good sport about modelling  Wink

I took a free vest pattern from somewhere by doing a google image search, then just added.  The salmon has the fat stripes just from a short but wide zig zag, and that got put over some foam and sewed on.  The rice grains are actually packing peanuts - I highly recommend finding some of those figure eight type peanuts, taking the ones that don't have holes in them, then cutting them in half to sew on.  The type of styrofoam for those peanuts is much less crumbly than the others I tried, and vaguely rice shaped when cut.

I didn't get the chance to finish putting on the rice (the contest was starting! what a stage mom I am)and I think there ought to be some type of piece around the shoulder just to make it look more like the right shape, but other than that I was quite pleased with the results, and he won first place in the costume contest!  What shall he be next year???
