1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Zipper pins/barrettes: How to make?? on: November 30, 2006 07:04:10 PM
Does anyone know how she is making the zipper barrettes/pins on her page?  I know someone around here has to.

Hope it's ok for me to re-post that, I got it off of the "melting beads" thread but once I got to the page was more interested in the zipper items.  Thanks!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / How to make a kids tutu for Halloween on: September 02, 2006 08:08:18 AM
Can anyone tell me how to make a tutu for a kid's Halloween costume?  The kind I want to make is very full and long, and the edges are petal shaped.  It would be for a fairy costume.  I saw that some people were just taking a piece of elastic band and knotting the tulle at the band to make the longer pieces hang down on the inside and outside, but considering how full I want the "skirt" to be I don't think that will work for what I want to do.  Please keep in mind I'm not a seamstress and using a machine might not be an option.  They are selling them on eBay but the prices are nuts, I figure I can make something just as nice for a fraction of the price if I can get directions.  Thanks!
