Maybe you can do a regular waistband, with interfacing as suggested, and embellish. You could use skinny ribbons to make little flowers and group them as you wish in the front... Tongue
Nice skirt pattern you made it!

Thank you all. You guys are great.
Nothing like extra brains to think with you Wink
I used the interfacing without the glue ( But the tip about the glue stick is fabulous..I will use this trick!).
I cut the waistband and interface together, same size. After that was easy. I folded in half (width) and connected to the skirt, with help of some pins.
I am almost done with the skirt...I just need to buy a zipper...and that my friends will be my real challenge. I hope the Force will be with me. ha ha.
See you all until my next question..probably about the zipper ha ha. Tongue.
ThankS Grin

hello,
I am doing a semicircle skirt. I am constructing now the waistband with interfacing. I ironed the fabric+interfacing and it is not sticking together. Is there someone out there that knows if the iron sticking interface has a different name than just interface? When I bought it..I thought I was getting the right type.
Oy vey..I hope I am not getting too confused here. Cry
Thank you all.

Hello,
I am so happy to find this space. Sometimes I feel I out of space when I say that I like to make some of my own clothing. I need help. Can you guys tell me a good place(s) to get fabric and other supplies (ribbons, threads, etc) at a reasonable price? Sometimes the bigmegastores can be so overpriced.. Embarrassed . DE, PA areas or even on line.
I am tired of paying a gazillion dollars for a tiny baby piece of ribbon or fabric. Thank you guys. And may I say this site is sensational!
Tks
