13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Making Amanda's Squatty Sidekick.. not so squatty? on: May 24, 2008 06:33:06 PM
Thanks Kelliz!  Hopefully that works. I have some fairly thick (bulky I believe) wool, so hopefully that makes it big enough and if not... I can always make a second one and figure it out from there, which is sooooo much easier after you've already made something and understand the design.  Cheesy  Anyhow, I digress. Thanks for the advice!

What a gorgeous yarn! And the pattern itself is lovely.
15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Making Amanda's Squatty Sidekick.. not so squatty? on: May 21, 2008 08:38:30 PM
Hi all. I was interested in knitting Amanda's Squatty Sidekick found here> http://www.knittingdaily.com/freepatterns/felted_items/45-1.html  which is a great pattern for a super cute purse, but I was hoping there was a way to make it bigger?  I am mathematically challenged, so all I could figure was double strand and go up a few more needle sizes than recommended?
If any one has any better suggestions than my pathetic one  Roll Eyes I would much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery April 2008 on: April 14, 2008 02:30:00 PM

I recently took part in my first swap with kitschbitch. It was a great experience and she made me such cool stuff! A wonderful purse with a matching pouch and the cutest thing ever - a kleenex cozy! She also made a needle roll for me with wooden needles in it and some pot holders!  Thanks kitschbitch!  Consider me hooked on swapping....Hmmm.. wonder how the boyfriend is going to feel about that...  Cheesy

Thanks again!
