Well, I wasn't going to compare license prices, b/c I felt like I was being uncrafty about it, but oh well!
Our fee for all of Florida is $93.50 for right now.  Not as high as the $110 like lefty8881's state, but still pretty high.

I don't know what all this means, but at lease I know how they charge us!  If we take the class, I guess it's reduced to $61.

. S. 28.24 ($30.00)
F. S. 741.01(1) ($2.00)
F. S. 741.01(2) ($25.00)
F. S. 741.01(3) ($7.50)
F. S. 741.01(4) ($25.00)
F. S. 741.02 ($4.00)
F. S. 741.01(05) The fee for each marriage license issued in the state shall be reduced by the sum of $32.50 for all couples who present valid certificates of completion of a premarital preparation course from a qualified course provider registered under s. 741.0305(5) for a course taken no more than 1 year prior to the date of application for a marriage license.

Still not crafty related, but I think I might have found a photographer!  She's a friend of a friend, building her portfolio and has a super friendly personality!  She'll take a free engagement session for us (and when we do, I'll post pics), and just charge her hrs ($50).  In all, (including the wedding and engagment) and Digital negatives+edited pics, she will be charging us $400.  I'm not sure exactly how many hrs that would be- I just emailed her that question.  My other friend that told me about her will be the assistant photographer and she'll be doing that as a wedding present Smiley  Yeah for fun, creative photographers!  Hopefully I really enjoy our engagment shots, b/c she sounds very promising!

Okay, now for the crafty part-- although no pictures yet till I'm all through.  Awhile back ago I had designed my wedding dress and really wanted to make it!  Sooo, a woman in my church is giving me her daughter's dress she wore for a pagent (yes, she had to find a 'white' dress, so they bought a wedding dress), and it cost her $450.  I mentioned I might be 'reconstructing' it before I was to see it, and she said that it is perfectly okay with her.  Sooo, I really liked the bodice, and I'll transform it into a sweetheart top, and I'll take away all the tulle and use the underlining skirt and place my design over that, and then you guys will have to wait and see!  My friend will help me with the sewing (she design's and makes clothing as a business) so at lease I know I won't screw up Smiley
Here's a teaser pic of the embroidery on the bodice:

Yea!  I'm so excited that we are able to learn things online!!

I was able to learn how to do that 'poof' thing properly by watching a few DIY youtube videos and I think on my wedding day I'd much rather do my own hair (it was sooo easy- no stress).
I have to keep practicing it to perfect it, but you'll get the idea with the pictures.

The band that's in my hair is my sister's from a renaissance festival, the real tiara is from one of my bridesmaids, she letting me borrow hers (and her veil, and so many other things left over from her wedding!!)  Let me know what you think, or if any of you have a suggestion!

I really want the ends curly- most likely soft big curls

As for my makeup, I think I want something that'll stand out on camera, but still looks "fresh" and classy.  Which I discoverd that I can't use bronzer w/o being 'shiny' in pictures.

These are a few shots of the eyes, if anyone has suggestions on what they did for their make up let me know! Smiley

(BTW_ talk about up close and personal!!  Hope you guys are good with close ups! lol)

This picture has nothing to do with the topic- but I thought it was cool because I stuck my finger on the flash and it turned me red!  hehe!
