1  Re: Razor cami help please!! in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by kitty824 on: August 04, 2006 12:52:26 PM
it's been a while since I made mine, but basically, all you're doing is putting the stitches for the back of the top on a holder (or scrap yarn or whatever), and continuing to work the front section up higher.  I was also confused about what the divide section would look like -- basically the front section is a few inches higher than the back section -- somehow it works out ok.  see if you can see what I mean in the photo of mine below. (you can sort of see that the ribbing at the top of the back portion just ends under my armpit.)

2  summer shawl from dailyknitter in Knitting: Completed Projects by kitty824 on: July 23, 2006 08:10:50 PM
finally finished the summer shawl from dailyknitter.com.  I used some blue sky cotton I salvaged from a project gone wrong.  it was a little pilled from an attempt to shrink the previous project, so I was worried about how it would come out, but I'm happy with the end result.

here's my progress pic.  using cathay on size 5s & I'm up to my third decrease.  (the stitches aren't so even since I'm knitting directly from an old project -- lazy!)

4  modified bad penny in Knitting: Completed Projects by kitty824 on: July 16, 2006 07:07:30 PM
just finished bad penny in shine worsted using the body shaping from mesilla (both patterns from knitty).  I like it a lot!  (and I learned a lesson about not joining yarn right in the bust area, though you can't really tell from the angle in this photo.)

5  knitted cuff bracelets in Knitting: Completed Projects by kitty824 on: July 09, 2006 09:11:00 AM
knitted these this weekend using the perdita patterns from summer knitty.  the blue one is the lilacs pattern and the green one is the bluebell pattern.  the beads I used are too big, but I think it's ok.

I know no one has posted to this thread in a while, but I just got around to taking a picture of my second circ shrug (I ripped the first one out).

8  Re: Anthropologie-inspired capelet- By julsey723 in Knitalongs by kitty824 on: July 01, 2006 11:11:02 AM
I finished this a few months ago, but just got around to taking a picture of it.  I used Bernat Solo (the acrylic is too HOT for summer!) and knitted it down to a full sized-sweater, with crocheted ties at the middle.  I think I should have started the ribbing at the bottom a little lower -- maybe I'll go back and fix it sometime.  maybe not.

9  Re: Razor cami knitalong? in Knitalongs by kitty824 on: July 01, 2006 11:07:55 AM
just finished my razor.  I tried doing only 6 repeats in the front at first (for the divided top part), but realized that wasn't enough, so I went back and knitted up a 7th -- so the YOs in between that section and the rest of the front are wonky (which you can see fairly clearly in the upper right of this photo).  and I realized on my second strap a better way to pick up the stitches for i-cord -- so the first one is a little weird.  but all in all, I'm happy with it for a casual weekend top!
