1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Swan Laptop Bag on: December 14, 2010 09:08:43 PM
Thanks!  The applique is a piece of pearly iridescent vinyl, and the design is my own.  I really just used the laptop measurements as a guide.

I made this using a leftover piece of upholstery fabric.  It has a front pocket for a charger.

Thanks!  I didn't make a pattern for this, just cut pieces as I needed them.  The inside is the last photo, it has a beige canvas lining.

Thanks, everyone!  The plaid jacket was a Liz Claiborne, of course.

I made this bag from two old eighties blazers, you know, the kind with shoulder pads.

I love these so much.  I've been making so many of them.  They hold everything, and they are so much nicer to carry around than a huge bag. The orange one is a plain cotton print, and the silver & red ones are sparkly vinyl.

Thanks everyone!

OMG.  I want one.  PLEASE!   *wisted*
I was heartbroken when the new Zelda DS' came out because I already have a pink one and can't have another one (hubby said no, I asked).  I lovelovelove me some Zelda, I even have Zelda tattoozz on my wrists (triforce and Navi).  (Not to mention the nickname) Wink

I wish the big box of naugahyde I have was sparkly... it's so pretty.

That's great!  I want to see your tattoos too.  I don't think I'd be allowed to sell these though?

You're talking about the new gold DS with the triforce?  I love that!  It's on my birthday list.

oohh! Im totally wisting this! so awesome! I love me some zelda as well! I was so sad when I beat the phantom hourglass. I didnt want it to end!!

Haha, I know, I know.  Right now I'm non-stop fishing and searching for chests and side quests so I don't have to fight the end boss.

Cool!!!! Were you able to use regular thread?

Thanks!  I used nylon thread, and I sewed it on a Consew.

I made these for our Dee Esses.  They are made from green and gold Sparkly Naugahyde, lined with ticking, bound in gold.  They close with a snap.

Hey good job!  The asymmetrical action adds the vintage feel to it, for sure.
