1  My First Stuffies in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Friedkiwi on: January 05, 2009 06:46:42 AM
Hi Everyone,

I just made my first stuffies for all of my friends having babies. (There are quite a few)  These are the babies' first stuffies too.  Below are Crazy Crab, Elephant, and Gila Monster (for a baby in Arizona).  I think I am happiest with the Gila Monster; the Crab design needs some work.  My husband insisted the Gila Monster have one tooth.

They turned out pretty well overall- felt is my new favorite material!

Thanks for looking!

2  First Ever Slip in Knitting: Completed Projects by Friedkiwi on: April 26, 2008 08:14:25 AM
I have made a lot of scarves and hats, but nothing ever as complicated as a slip with lace I could actually wear.  The pattern is from Naughty Needles by Nikol Lohr.  (My husband bought me this book, and everyone who sees it on my coffee table is immediately engrossed and amused by it). I shortened it some so I could wear it outside over a tank top.  Anyway, I am pretty happy how it turned out.  And my husband is excited as well. Wink
