There's lots of sites where you can find things to make to donate to hospitals....sometimes they even give you patterns. There are knitted hats for newborns, and caps for chemo patients, etc. Here's a website for someone who organizes the collection of handmade hats for chemo patients:
I have a handbag business in Boston. I'm looking for a place where I can donate a few of my handbags for charity. Please let me know if you have any ideas of an places or groups who I could contact that might be interested..
I've checked out several sites regarding the technique of sewing a zipper, but none of them have applied to me.
I'm trying to make a small clutch purse with a zipper closure and with a liner on the inside. I'm trying to find an easier way to do this but have not succeeded. Most of my final results look rather sloppy (the stitching around the zipper in particular). Does anyone have any tips?
There's a great boat neck sweater pattern by Rowan. It's in their book called Big Knits. It's really easy and it requires big needles (size 13?) so it will go really fast. There's also some other fantastic patterns in this book (cost about $15 ). You can check it out on line www.knitrowan.com Have fun!
