1  You never know! -stash busting necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by april again on: February 20, 2013 02:31:42 PM
I have not been crafting a lot lately, this past year or so has been difficult (and hard to believe a YEAR has gone by!) but I am slowly getting back into it. I was playing around with stash stuff and I had some charms I had bought (and did nothing with) and as I LOVE Frog Princes I decided he was gonna be my necklace!

Cording was thin mousetail, metallic embroidery thread and organza ribbon with fold over ends. Link , pinch bail, charms and crystals.

I am really enjoying it and I like being back in the swing.

C and C always welcome Smiley

Its good to be back!

2  My first digital scrapbooking page! in Scrapbooking: Completed Projects by april again on: August 16, 2012 08:00:04 AM
I got a digital scrapbooking program when my father died this spring. I scanned in all the pictures but I haven't made him a page yet. But I wanted to get my feet wet, so I did this simple page of my son.

I know it is pretty simple and most pages have a lot more embellishments, but I felt simple suited the theme and the subject much more. What do you think??

3  Vintage luctie flower earrings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by april again on: November 23, 2011 12:42:59 PM
I made these for a swap partner on another site who enjoys vintage things. I have been seeing several designs with vintage luctite flower beads, with "stamens" made of headpins and crystals. I got a set of orange lucite flowers and I thought brass would go nicely. Here is the result!

Lucite flower beads, swarovski crystals, and Vintaj brand brass findings.

4  Re: Soul Journaling-a-long in Craftalongs by april again on: October 08, 2011 05:45:18 PM
Finished Day 2 and Day 3..thinking about Day 4 still for tomorrow!

Day 2: Claiming my journal

Used my metallic blue markers and did my name is shapes and spirals, then did it in different languages!

Day 3: building soul armor

Found a picture I liked..shrunk it and grayscale-d it, then covered with some aluminum foil and gold and silver metallic markers.Just now thinking of words that I want to use on there, I think they will be collaged also.

Then I will be ready for Day 4!

Got my Day One pictures done. You can't really see my writing on the dictionary pages in the pictures but I assure you it is there. I am gesso-ing them today and I am so glad to read her thing on using cheapo acrylic craft paint, I saw a bunch of colors I liked and I am going to pick up some on sale Smiley

Pics!

6  Re: FoC Acrylic-Free Bead Soup Swap (Round 5) GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by april again on: September 21, 2011 11:53:59 AM
Pictures! I received last night but I got home super late and I am just taking my rather poor quality photos Sad

Here is the soup, mostly sorted: Nice mix of glass, spacers, metal beads, shaped glass and charms! Some sweet porcelain and other stuff too.

My lovely finished jewels! I am really into asymmetrical earrings lately and I got some LOVELY examples of them..I especially love the shooting stars! I think those will be worn to work tomorrow Smiley Also a cool turquoise necklace and other sweet earrings, a polymer (?) pendant and others. She also drew me  a lovely Frog Prince card but his picture did not come out very good in the photo Sad

The ultimate though, is this incredible wireworked paisley pendant! The theme (I love paisley), the colors, the workmanship...AWESOME!!!

Such a great haul!

THANK YOU puamelia!!!

I got back from a business trip and I had a nice surprise...a box from gkswife!

It had all sorts of goodies...a TON of scrapbook papers, a brand new composition book, some hoops, TWO Jennie Hart books, some embroidery thread, beads, tins of buttons and baubles! An awesome haul!

I have really been wanting to try more art journaling/papercrafting and embroidery so this is great! Thank you so much Karla!
