2312  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Vegetarians. What do YOU eat? on: May 09, 2006 01:23:08 PM
i recently "converted" to vegetarianism as well, and so far i've made a lot of really simple things - bean and rice burritos with salsa, salads with lots of veggies, vegetable stir-fry, pasta - and then i've made a few things that i would have normally eaten, only with fake meat.  for example, hamburger helper (with something called... smart round, i think.), sloppy joes.  breakfasts usually consist of the same things i've always eaten:  cereal, peanut butter toast, waffles, or fruit and yogurt.

out of curiousity, digitalkitten, how are you doing with the adjustment?  i have a hard time eating out, but when i cook for myself, it's easy as pie.   Grin
2313  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Re: Design Help on: May 09, 2006 01:09:01 PM
okay, another dumb question:  i looked at photoshop software at both ebay and amazon, and i found something called "photoshop elements 4.0".

is photoshop elements something different than regular photoshop?

sorry to be so dense but i have no clue what i'm looking for.  Undecided

ohhh.  it looked like the fabric was wrapped around the whole thing, so i couldn't tell that the lid came off.

neat project!
2315  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Romantic scrapbookish ideas??? on: May 09, 2006 10:32:41 AM
ooh, maybe you could include a postcard from home (that you've written on), or write him letters (one per week?  one per month?) so he'll have things from you with him to look forward to.

thanks!

this may be a stupid question, but those are both programs one must pay for, correct?

do you know of any free trials or anything like that?
2317  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: pad dispenser on: May 08, 2006 06:21:21 PM
how do you get the pads in there?  does the top open up, or do you just stick them in the opening on the bottom?
2318  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sharpies in the UK? on: May 08, 2006 06:17:39 PM
amazon carries almost all of the colors they make.  occasionally ebay has sets on auction - i'd just keep looking there.
2319  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: I wanna make a scrap book, but...where do you start? on: May 08, 2006 06:16:47 PM
when i started scrapbooking, i had three bulletin boards full of mementos.  i took down the bulletin boards and sorted all of the stuff into different categories:  baby pictures, ticket stubs, programs, etc.  at that point i had some idea of what kind of pages i was going to do and bought paper and stickers to go with each theme.

i think i did it kind of haphazardly, so maybe my approach isn't the best one to take, but it's how i started.   Cheesy
2320  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Re: Preferred Adhesive? on: May 08, 2006 06:10:54 PM
A lot of times the adhesives will say if they're acid free - nowadays the vast majority (at least the ones meant for scrapbooking) are.

I use plain ol' gluestick for most things, and the little sticky adhesive dots for precious things.
