1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Modge Podge/Decoupage on: September 02, 2006 02:35:32 PM
I do both. I like to make really thick layers of mod podge over finished products... and I use it to glue it down as well. Cheesy

Well, personally, when I decoupage, I like the wrinkled look... lol. but I realize not everyone is like that.

I'd suggest getting a ruler and not saturating your pieces as much... If you use a sponge you might be able to put the glue on less thickly, but the more thick the more it'll wrinkle.

Good luck! <3

Okay. I haven't had much time, but I at least started on the cover of mine... it might take a little while longer, but I just wanted to let everyone know I haven't forgotten. College started. *dead*

7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Men's Ties / Neckties on: August 08, 2006 09:16:53 AM
My boyfriend's grandmother had a brother. LOL. He had a huge tie collection, that everyone knew about. That's basically all they ever got him for presents. So, when he died, he left the tie collection to "Grammy" [as we like to call her]. Grammy, being the ultra-crafty person she is, didn't know what she was going to do with them, so one year for christmas, she made everyone pillows out of these ties. Next time I go by her house I can probably snag some pictures. She has about three of them at her house, but she gave most of them away. They are beautiful pillows.
