21  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap - Round 7 in The Swap Gallery by cindy_23492 on: February 14, 2007 04:12:25 PM
I am now 3/5, and here are the pics of the gorgeous things I have received so far:

Vintage button bracelet from retro-redux. It's white and called "White Wedding". This is an action shot of one side

The second side, and the stickers she sent along. Sorry for the bad lighting!

The wristlet from GatorWrangler. It has shiny stars on it!

The Love/Hate tee from devilninny. It looks orange in this pic, but it's really a bright red! Me showing the Love side - Happy Valentines Day everyone!

22  Re: Sweat Shoppe Swap (round 7!) now to Jan 21 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by cindy_23492 on: January 20, 2007 11:13:25 AM
Wow, I'm just loving EVERYTHING here! Next round I will be sure to put my name in twice, but right now I'm quite busy, so just once for me.
I said I'd put pics on last weekend, but due to several events involving a pink shoe, a hot tub, meatballs, and a Catullus Latin poem, I didn't actually have time to make a prototype.

Well, here it is finally. The crochet donut pincushion. There WILL be beads on top for sprinkles, but here's how it is right now.

It's ~3 1/2 inches across (diameter)
Also, please excuse the kitchen floor :/

I can see the receiving is really speeding along now!

I received my needle/hook roll from Dulcinea today! The fabric are spot-on with the greens palette, and it closes with measuring tape ribbon  Cheesy She also send along clip-on earring bases and some bonus stitch markers.
Thank you so much Amy!

I will try to get the pics on here tonight or latest tomorrow. Here they are.

The whole roll, with some of my stuff in it (the rest is in my messy craft drawer..yikes!)

The earring bases

The back of the roll. I love the ribbon tape Smiley

Thanks again!

24  How to hand sew lace trim? (with pics) Please help! in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by cindy_23492 on: July 13, 2006 07:16:59 AM
I thrifted a green hoodie from Value Village the other day and decided to spiff it up by adding lace trim to the hood, buttons on the pocket and painting the back. But I have no sewing machine and am a beginner at sewing (craft wise, I knit and make jewelry), so I really have no idea how to hand sew down the trim.

The whole hoodie with trim pinned down.

Just the hood.

Lace detail

Help is appreciated!!
