1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My prom dress on: April 06, 2007 02:11:39 PM
Thank you everyone! all the feedback really is appreciated!
I've tried ssooo many times to take a picture of the back, but my tripod and self timer just ain't cutting it, they all come out with my butt looking like a BIG ole black blur.
The dress wasn't very hard to make, I just drafted a corset pattern, the tuts on this site are pretty good guides to show how to do that, The skirt is basically just a lonngg pencil skirt with some fabric draped around the hips, the whole thing was very trial and error intense. basically I just did lots of experimenting to see what gave me the results I was looking for!

Thank you everyone! It took me like 2 weeks to do it, but I'm really erradic when it comes to sewing, sometimes I can sit and do it for hours then others I only do it for 5 minutes, haha

I was SO tired of seeing all of the boring satin dresses everyone wears to prom, sadly most of my friends are going to wear those Sad  Also I plan on going all out this year, I'll make sure to come back with tons of pictures!
