6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Attaching I-cords to my tank top on: May 02, 2005 03:52:14 PM
i pick up the stitches from the edge of the tanktop, then knit the i-cord, then attached to the otherside of the tanktop (usually with a three-needle bind-off, but however)

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Question about Baby Blanket Pattern - knitting in strips? on: April 20, 2005 12:20:08 PM
awesome - thanks Melidomi! Especially for saving me from being 18 stitches short! Smiley
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Question about Baby Blanket Pattern - knitting in strips? on: April 20, 2005 10:50:10 AM
Is there any reason why this would HAVE to be knit in strips? Couldn't I just cast on 7x the number of stitches is suggests and knit the pattern over and over again?  (assuming I had long enough circs)

I want to make this for my friend's baby shower in ten days, but i know my "sewing together" skills are not so much rockin', and it goes faster if I can just keep going and going.

Wow - that came out sooo cute!!

I have this on my to do list, but I don't have the right yarn for it yet (Don't you hate that frigging chenille?)
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Opening a new store - need input on: January 14, 2005 02:26:56 PM
Thank you all so much for your input and ideas. The good news is I have an even better idea than ever what my perfect store will be. The bad news I just got a job offer from my old boss and it's an offer I can't refuse. The good news is, if all goes well (crossing fingers) I should be able to leave the new job in 2-3 years with all the seed capital I need for the store.
