A friend and I are going as Wayne and Garth.  So much love for Wayne's World.  Still have to think of another costume though, for the night before.  At the beginning of the month I made an 80 year old gramma skydiver costume and just a few days ago threw together 2 Rocky Horror costumes within an hour.   If I come up with something good for Friday AND Saturday night, I'll have completed nearly 6 costumes this month!!!  Awesomeness!!  I love dressing up and making costumes for other people!

Oh yeah, a friend is going as Waldo and he's going to attempt to be in the background of as many pictures as possible throughout the night!

I agree!  I love the boardshorts turned into a skirt!  I always find guys board shorts at Goodwill and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be picking up more of them!

ooo thank you thank you thank you!  I always wanted to know how to make these as a kid!  Just had a look at your blog, and you just have such amazing photographs of all your projects.  On a side note as well, I also really love the covered rocks!  Seeing the "ugly" (not at all imo) backside, think it'd be really cute if you either painted or decoupaged a cameo silhouette on the back.  That was the first thing of which I was reminded when I saw it!  Those are just soo cool!

I love the one of your sister.  The sunlight is that perfect golden summer sunlight...reminds me of every summer night when I was a kid.  One of those pictures that even evokes smells and scents!

I totally agree.  I think you should leave the 4th one just the way it is!!  It's awesome!!

Normally I don't edit my pictures, but in regular real life colors, this just didn't pop the way I wanted it to..



This picture, to me, is just really nostalgic.  Just reminds me of soo many summer with the screen door (we never had central air in any of the houses in which I grew up) creaking as we ran in and out to play in the remaining daylight.  Actually, though, this picture was taken through the screen window of a moving RV...which holds no nostalgic value for me whatsoever.  




I have a thing for self-portraits which don't necessarily flatter the artist...




On a side note, I sooo love all the amazing things I've seen people doing in this thread!!  I wish I had a niftier camera (just a Lumix 7.0 megapixels), but I'm so happy just being able to take pictures.  Keep on keepin' on with all this awesome work peoplies!  

I think these are especially awesome!!  Especially the v-pattern.  I'm so used to the firework-looking ones and the spiral...but really really like the v.  Nevermind.  All of them are awesome!  I really enjoy the socks, too!
