1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Modge Podge Questions.. I want to do a desk! on: August 30, 2008 07:05:31 AM
Hi!  I love your idea.  I'm pretty sure that if you print that stuff out on a laser printer that the modge podge shouldn't smudge the ink.  I tested this theory out on a Red Sox project a while back, and it worked, but I would still do a test run just to make sure.  Hope this helps, and I REALLY want to see pics when you are done.   Grin

Oh and check out this previous post from way back when I was doing my research:

Hmm, I'm not 100% sure. I've heard that inkjet can smear, it might be easier if you can get on somebody's laser jet printer.

that really is a cool site!  Hmmm, I read somewhere that you can hold an altoid tin over a fire and it will make it all black so that the logo & stuff are gone.  Not sure how practical that is to do though  Cheesy  Maybe just get some nice heavy paper and glue it to the tin, and go from there.  There are so many different things you could do with these.

Maybe you could make a book shirt out of white fabric and tie up the sleeves to resemble a strait jacket?  When I think of this book/movie, I think of:

Native American
Evil Nurse
Escape through Broken Window

So maybe you could use some feathers, put some red crosses to symbolize the nurse, and have a window that opens up to reveal something else.

I hope this helps.

I can't wait to see how your project comes out, it sounds really cool.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Help -Can I decoupage with stuff I print out on my computer? What paper do I use? on: August 02, 2006 07:32:34 PM
Hello.  I want to decoupage something, and I have something very specific in mind, and I think it would be easier for me to make a collage in my paint program and printing it out.  Is this something I can do?  Is there a certain kind of computer paper that would work well for this?  Any suggestions are super helpful!

Thank you!!

957 Commonwealth Ave in Boston.  It's right off the Pleasant Street stop on the B line.  Great clothes (designer jeans for 20 bucks!) and a constantly rotating selection of uber-cute handbags.

Last time I was in there I bought a purse and four shirts and a ralph lauren dress for about 25 bucks.  And, if you have money burning a hole in your pocket the Jasmine Sola outlet is right next door- it's still too pricey for me, but some of ya'll might be rich  Grin

Is this place still in business??  It sounds awesome, but the website is down Sad
