1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Paint Trouble. PLEASE help! on: June 09, 2004 08:18:22 AM
Hi everyone!

I painted my bathroom recently, and could not find a fabric shower curtain to match.  (I have to use fabric instead of vinyl, because there is no ventilation in the bathroom, and I have problems with mildew buildup.  Fabric is "wash-n-go")

I used leftover latex paint for my shower curtain design.  That is doing good so far.  But for the accent, I used silver metallic craft paint.  I let dry for about 24 hours and hung it for use.

NOW, every time  we shower, there are streaks of that silver craft paint from where the water seeped through the fabric.  I worked so hard on that shower curtain, and it turned out great, and now I'm heart broken that it's being ruined.

Should I have heat set the craft paint?  What did I do wrong?Huh

Thanks in advance for your help!
