That's super! I love the colour co-ordination and the way you used the buttons. Awesome work!
152  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Sexy Tunic! on: April 09, 2006 11:52:01 AM

I had a few false starts with this Rowan Kid Mohair - first it was an Under the Hoodie, then it was a BoobHolder (using two strands held together - so warm! ugh!). Neither looked good on me, so - RIP, RIP. Then I decided to just let the yarn do its own thing. I started knitting with one strand this time and used the same neckline done from the top down as Glampyre's BoobHolder. Once I reached where I wanted the deep V neckline to end, I joined and knit in the round down to the bottom. I threw a garter stitch border on the bottom and on the sleeves, and voila! A Sexy Tunic! It's light and airy (which means it's not too warm this time) and it fits me perfectly. The Rowan held up like a champ throughout the entire ordeal - I took some scissors to it to tidy it up a bit, but other than I'm so happy!

[I edited to add the pic properly - I'm still getting used to this!]

Gah! I wish I had thought to check this board before I moved to St. John's last fall! I would have been in for sure. Is there still an S'nB happening there? I'll be moving back in September again for work - I would love to meet some new people around town.
154  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Norwegian Stockings KAL on: April 03, 2006 10:08:14 AM
Wow, I just spotted this knitalong via "recent posts with pictures" and I have to say that I'm glad! Those stockings are absolutely amazing RepoRebo! They totally brought me out of craftster lurker status. The moment I saw them, I looked on my bookshelf to find that I have Folk Socks, so those are next on my fancy socks list. Awesome job!
