As mentioned earlier (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=92983.0), I hit a bit of a snag with these, but I worked through it and all was well in the end. Hideous beige slip-ons for $13 from Zellers + white and silver fabric paint = comfy cute shoes for summertime. Not the most original things ever, but considering the rough time I had, I'm fairly pleased.

I posted this over in the knitalong thread last night, but then I got to thinking that everyone else might want to see it too! My LYS didn't have the recommended yarn, so I ended up knitting the 36" with a little more than 2 hanks of Butterfly Super 10 in Purple (yes, it's actually just called "purple". No fancy colour names for these folks.) I've got a bit of a long torso, so it's more cropped on me than it would be on others without, but I think it would look cute if it came down to hit the top of your pants/skirt/whatever. The construction was a learning experience for me too - knitting things all in one piece is fun! No seaming = happy knitter!

Mine's finished!!! I used just over 2 skeins of Butterfly Super 10 mercerized cotton for the 36" size. I love it!!! Anyone else out there done?

I had a few false starts with this Rowan Kid Mohair - first it was an Under the Hoodie, then it was a BoobHolder (using two strands held together - so warm! ugh!). Neither looked good on me, so - RIP, RIP. Then I decided to just let the yarn do its own thing. I started knitting with one strand this time and used the same neckline done from the top down as Glampyre's BoobHolder. Once I reached where I wanted the deep V neckline to end, I joined and knit in the round down to the bottom. I threw a garter stitch border on the bottom and on the sleeves, and voila! A Sexy Tunic! It's light and airy (which means it's not too warm this time) and it fits me perfectly. The Rowan held up like a champ throughout the entire ordeal - I took some scissors to it to tidy it up a bit, but other than I'm so happy!
