1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My sketch cards on: May 18, 2006 06:36:36 PM
I've already posted a couple of topics for my Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings cards, but I thought I would make a new topic for any and all cards I may do in the future so I won't have a topic for every single subject matter.
A sketch card is a small collector card size artwork that can be gotten from certain packs of trading cards like Lord Of The Rings Evolution produced by the Topps Company (the people who do sports cards) or by commissioning an artist to draw one of exactly what you want.
This is a commission work I did for a guy in England.  He collects Darth Maul sketch cards.  2.5" x 3.5" watercolor, pen and a tad of white prismacolor pencil.

2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Harry Potter artwork on: April 28, 2006 09:06:20 PM
This is a 2.5" x 3.5" work that I did for a friend.  I still think I'm much better with just black and white.  Check out my Lord of the Rings sketches here to see my B&W work: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=90721.0
This is Dobby from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.  Cheesy

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Lord of the Rings sketch on: April 18, 2006 06:42:03 PM
First some background:
I'm a collector of non-sports cards.  Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc.  Topps just came out with a new series called LOTR Evolution and the set has different artist sketches available in the individual packs.  See this website if you want to check them out-

Well,I drew my own.  This is it.  His name is Gollum, hope you enjoy.
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My Little CUSTOM pony on: April 17, 2006 04:43:40 PM
I never knew people did custom My Little Ponies until a couple of weeks ago.  Then I saw the ones posted in the swap gallery and I was totally inspired to do one of my own to keep.  I like the idea of taking something girly and foo-foo and turning it into something BAD!  Or at least into something unexpected.  Wink

5  COOKING / Dessert / My Little Pony cake? Need Ideas. on: April 10, 2006 03:01:36 PM
My youngest daughter is turning 3 this month and the party theme is My Little Pony.  I'm looking for ideas on how to make the cake.  So far all I can come up with is a 2 layer round cake with pink icing and a pony on the top.  Ok, but not exciting.  Any ideas?  I've already looked into a My Litle Pony cake mold and they are discontinued and expensive on ebay. Undecided
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Harry Potter replica props (4 photos) on: April 07, 2006 03:05:06 PM
I'm new to the forum, so I hope I've posted in the right place.  I was wondering if anyone else does movie replica props?  These are some that I've done for Harry Potter.  Yes, I'm a Harry Potter FREAK!  Anyway, take a look and let me know what you think.  If you want to see the screen used World Cup program and Death Eaters wand from the movie and compare them to my replicas, you can find them at this link:

If anyone wants to know how I made these I'll be happy to post more on Monday.  I'm really looking forward to doing a Harry Potter swap if any more are planned. Grin  I've been checking out the My Little Pony swap gallery and I totally LOVE what everyone has come up with!  I've been inspired to do one of my own to keep, so maybe I'll post it when it's done.  This place is a bonanza of cool ideas!
