1  fluffy hot water bottle cover in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by jemmonino on: December 03, 2006 11:16:05 AM
i'm attempting to make a cover out of fluffy fur for a heart shaped hot water bottle, and one side needs to have a zip. I made a practice one out of normal fabric, which didnt turn out too well, and was hard enough without fur everywhere (its very fluffy)!
this is the bottle:

and this is my rubbish paint drawing of the cover:

there needs to be a hole to let the plug bit stick out. the black dots is where the zip will be.
Does anyone have any ideas of how I could make this without wanting to poke out my eyes in frustration?

Thanks!  Grin

not technically a monkey, just a stupid creature made of socks Smiley he's the first one i've made, so the stitching is a bit dodgy

3  Re: I don't know what it's called, BUT I MADE IT ! (+2 & tutorial, pic heavy) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by jemmonino on: August 16, 2006 03:40:22 PM
i made one too, the shirts made out of kinda flimsy material, so it went a bit curly, but its more wearable than it used to be - it shrank in the wash!

p.s. my elbows naturally point completely backwards, i'm not making some weird arm gesture Smiley as far as i can see, everyones elbows go sideways...yay freaky on wrong elbows Smiley

here it is in all its glory (scuse his very drunken expression)

he's the lone raver cos he had to go all by himself, no-one else likes crazy industrial techno, or whatever it is
