1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Back and forth. Forever. on: December 09, 2008 11:22:35 AM
My boy has been hinting to me like crazy that he wants this shirt. Seriously. I can't really explain what this means unless you have seen the movie Me and You and Everyone We Know, which in that case you already know what this means and are probably squeeing just like me.

it started with this:

)) <> ((

Okay, okay...I know. It doesnt mean anything...or does it? Lawl. I love it.

Without further ado, here is the extremely simple shirt I made for the boy...(also, my first stenciling project):

Here is a close-up:

It's a little bit wonky, but it will do. I didnt have any freezer paper when I made it, but it turned out decent.
I think i'm going to add "Forever." to the back.

What do you think?
2  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Perfect Political Pumkin-ness! on: November 01, 2008 03:53:21 PM
I didn't actually make this stencil myself. I found it at a website called YesWeCarve.com   which is awesome, btw.

I didn't want to go with the traditional jack-o-lantern, and since this is the first pumpkin I have ever carved (yeah, my boyfriend said I lived a very sheltered childhood, and insisted that our first halloween living together would house my first pumpkin carving experience).

I had fun!

For those who arent Obama-holics, I'm sorry! But for those who are, enjoy!

Oh, and sorry for the crappy pics. My cell-phone kinda bites. Cheesy

Thanks for looking!
3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / FOR THE HORDE! on: December 20, 2007 08:24:23 PM
Being the enormous dork that I am, I find pride in the fact that I am a member of the Horde in World of Warcraft. Love...Love...LOVE. <3

Being so, I am also a lover of glass etching, but had failed to use an actual sand etcher before. Feeling as if I could ot possibly become a real etcher without purchasing one, I ran to Hobby Lobby and picked one up.

My original intention was to do a huge mirror for my father's promotion, but I thought I'd do something small first, just to see how it worked.

It turned out marvelously....

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Harry Potter Day Help!!! on: July 13, 2007 09:12:39 PM
So, as we all know, Friday is going to be the last LITERARY Harry Potter day...ever. I'm ever so excited (not to mention terribly sad that its the finale)....

So, here's my conflict...
I'm going to a Harry Potter book party, and it's going to be HUGE. I really want to dress up as anything to do with Harry Potter- however, I have literally NO money. Zip, ZERO, no money.

Any ideas on what I can do? my boyfriend is dying his hair black tomorrow and I seriously do not want to show up with my harry potter boyfriend while I'm just little old Chriss....

Any suggestions?
5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A girl and her dolly...(kinda img heavy) on: June 14, 2007 07:34:03 PM
So before school ended, I was given a project to make something about myself. Everyone decided to go towards a more abstract approach but you know what? I decided that I was going to do something so completely plainly me....I was going to make a doll of myself. Now, this was thought to be a rather easy feat by myself, "Haha," said I as I bought the materials...having no clue what I was getting myself into...This was to be my very first major sewing project.

Who would have known it would take me over 3 weeks to complete?

Okay, so here is a picture of me for reference:

((Dont mind the outfit and such, it was Pirates of the Carribean day and I was in full gear))

Now here is mini-me:

And us awesome Gangsta's together:

Here's me trying to be anywhere nearly as happy as the doll (which has a mouth like the felt friends on Blues Clues))

The seams are kinda off and some of it looks crazy weird, but I think thats why I like it so much- its just like me.
