1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Who are you on Ravelry? on: September 30, 2007 01:05:20 PM
Same as here--Tricoteuse.  Pay me a visit!  Tongue
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Nantucket Jacket on: September 20, 2007 04:31:06 PM
I know I'm a little late in the game, but I've been working on my own Nantucket too.  No pics yet, but it's in Cascade 220 Heathers in a gorgeous green the same color as my eyes (the deciding factor of choosing this yarn, thanks to the yarn shop owner  Tongue).  I've gotten the back and the right front done so far.

I love how everyone's jackets look!  I can't wait to get more of mine done; it's been so much fun to knit.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Favorite sock yarn? on: September 16, 2007 06:44:15 AM
Opal.  Opal, Opal, Opal.

I LOVE this sock yarn.  It's good yarn, it's nice and soft, and it smells good, too.  Definitely my favorite sock yarn.

This is so beautiful!  I'm positively drooling over the yarn.  Tongue
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: First socks! on: September 16, 2007 06:20:23 AM
Congratulations!  Aren't socks magical?  And good job getting them done so quickly--my first pair took a few months to complete.  Yours look so comfortable.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Order of the Phoenix knits!! on: September 04, 2007 02:23:51 PM
I loved all the knitted/crocheted stuff Luna was wearing, particularly the crocheted jacket and that gorgeous deep blue knit hat.  I'm so entranced by that blue, I tell you ...

I also loved the vest Ginny was wearing at the end of the movie.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Yarn Crisis! on: September 04, 2007 02:15:59 PM
If you have your heart set on that color, I would contact Mission Falls.  I'm sure they'd help you out--after all, you'd be buying more of their yarn.  If all else fails, and you don't mind using another color, I'd go with option 2.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: the new magknits for september is up on: September 04, 2007 02:12:09 PM
I really like Kaleidoscope--I have a whole mess of dark green sock yarn I can use for it.  I do wish there was a better picture of it, though.

And while the strawberry purse is adorable, the color does make it look like barf to me.  Not the most attractive color in the world.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: *TAMMY*(4 pics) on: August 29, 2007 12:36:02 PM
You did a wonderful job--I can't get over how breathtaking this hat is.  Gorgeous!
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Advice Please: Pomatomus or Monkey on: May 15, 2007 11:46:02 PM
Monkey is beautiful, but it is easy.  You said you wanted a challenge, so I vote Pomatomus--the chart really isn't as scary as it looks, but it definitely holds your attention, and the end result is so pretty!  Just pay strict attention to whether it says ktbl or just k--I had to rip back a few times because I kept reverting back to regular knits.
