1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Beard Cap on: December 08, 2007 03:18:48 PM
There are these amazing hats I'd love to make some of my friends this year for the holidays, I considered buying them, but they are $135!$%%^ each!!! The one big problem about me making them is that I am not that great at knitting or crocheting... Is there any other idea how I could make these?!

I'd appreciate any help!

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Stencil help... please? on: May 30, 2007 02:24:21 PM
Hello, a good friend of my died on Monday morning...

a few friends and I wanted to go to the pole he crashed into and "tag" it with a stencil of Jolly Rogers [he loved pirates and anything to do with them] and his name underneath in remembrance.

Would anyone have a good idea how to do this? It's a huge cement pole, and we'd need to do it pretty fast late at night. And it would be somewhat large, I'm thinking maybe 2-3 feet high and 1-2 feet wide?

What would be the best way to do this?

I've thought about a poster board as a stencil... perhaps?

any idea would help a lot, thank you!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Bathing suit? on: March 07, 2007 12:39:43 PM
First off, I'm so thrilled to see women on here proud and pleased with their bodies.

...But I'm not one of those girls. I usually stick to hiding my problem areas.

I really need a bathing suit for the up coming summer. I typically wear tankini's to cover up my tummy. [The one part of my body that's the hardest to deal with.] Usually the tankini tops aren't as long as I'd like, so the bottom of my stomach peeks out, which I hate. I also hate when the top of my bathing suit sticks to my body, it's very unflattering. [Or so I feel]

I've tried dieting ect ect, but I doubt any of that is going to work soon. [I live in Florida we get summer started fast around here.]

I need to know if anyone has attempted to make her own bathing suit? And if you have any tips or websites for reference?

Oh and if you know how to drop 30 pounds in a month or two, that would be great as well.

Thank you Thank you
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Comic themed crafts? on: July 14, 2006 02:35:51 PM
My boyfriend owns a comic book store here in town and I've thought about making some comic book crafts to sell.

He said he's let me sell them at the store and at conventions using his tables.

I was seeing if anyone had any ideas of what I could make.

Things for guys?

So far I think I'm going to make some miroscope necklaces and resin belt bukcles and coasters.

any ideas?

I want/need to make a little extra cash!
