Hi, I am trying to get into the card making business, primarily wedding invitations.  I would like to purchase a good quality printer.  Can anyone recommend one that will be good for cardstock, designs, etc..?  My budget is no more than 150-200.  Thank You
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Screenprinting Camp Ideas?? on: June 06, 2008 05:47:25 AM
Hi, I'll be teaching a fashion screenprinting class for youths aged 13-17.  I have very little experience with screen-printing but I never taught it.  So if anyone could offer me some ideas and activities I can do with the students it would really help me out.  This is a beginners class so non photographic methods will only be used.  Thanks for your suggestions.
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Silk Screening Methods?? on: June 04, 2008 05:57:12 AM
Hi I wanted to know if anyone can tell me the three non-photographic silk screening methods?  If you could briefly tell me how to do each one I'd appreciate it.  Also Ill be building my own screen is it necessary to abrade and degrease the film?  If so how do I go about doing that?  Thank You

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Build-A-Purse Party on: January 13, 2007 02:26:21 PM
Im trying to raise money for my senior fashion show(im a fashion design major) so Im throwing this build-purse-party at my apartment.  Its basically a few sewing machines set up and precut fabric and purse patterns for the ladies to choose from.  There will probably be about 10 ladies in attendance.  I wanted to know if anyone had any ideas or suggestions on what I can do to make it fun, creative and to keep the ladies wanting to come back?  If you've done something like this before maybe you can give me some tips.  Thanks Alot!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A Teddy Bear Picnic on: January 06, 2007 12:23:17 PM
Title: A Teddy Bear Picnic
I enjoy designing childrens clothes and accessories.  So I came up with this bag for a little girl.  The outside is made with light blue corduroy and lined with lightblue/white gingham print.  The bears head and arms are made from a tweed herringbone.  Its a drawstring so it allows easy access for those little fingers.

Details of swap:

Since the "I Want A Fall Bag Swap"(gallery link below) was so successful I thought I would go ahead and continue on to the next season, which is Winter.  You can make any type of bag your heart desires. BUT the bag should look like it is for the Winter/Holiday season.  Basically when you look at the bag it should scream WINTER or you can gear it towards the holiday.  A cute winter motif wont hurt either.  Knitting and crocheting are allowed as well.  Keep in mind that it is the holiday season, so you may want to consider giving the bag you receive to a loved one.

Suggestions for bag styles: tote, hobo, clutch, wristlet, messenger bag, evening bag, shoulder bag

Here are some suggestions for winter fabrics: Tweed, Wool, Suede, Velvet, Velour, Felt, Corduroy, Fleece, Leather, Nylon, Mohair, Cashmere, Chenille

Here is some extra information/tips that you need to know

DELIVERY CONFIRMATION:    Please try to get a delivery confirmation number from your U.S Post Office.  If you are shipping outside the U.S than you may not be able to do so.  Once you have shipped contact your partner and myself (NeffyTee) let them know the DC#.

DONT TAKE ON MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE: Please remember that you only have three weeks to craft your fall bag.  So take into consideration the size of the bag as well as embellishments, pockets etc...

SHIP ON TIME: We all have a life outside of Craftster (at least some of us do.lol) so I understand and Im sure your partner will understand if you cant ship exactly on 11/27.  But try to ship by the following Tuesdayor at latest that Wednesday.  Otherwise I will leave negative feedback. Its only fair, to those that will have shipped on time.  IF FOR ANY REASON YOU CANT CONTINUE WITH THE SWAP PLEASE CONTACT ME WITHIN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME SO I CAN FIND A SWAP ANGEL FOR YOUR PARTNER!

HAVE FUN: Everyone of us has a different reason as to why we swap.  But the main one is to just have a good time and possibly make a new friend.  So please dont stress yourself out (or your partner out!).  Its just a swap, its not the end of the world.
